You didn't mention that they had to spend 70 billion to get to that 49% yoy increase.

:manny:
That’s literally how business works.

They now own one of the most valuable assets in gaming. It’s worth more than it was when they bought it, and it is currently printing money.

Now why would a CEO want to fire the people responsible for this??? :jbhmm:

Yeah the CEO should fire the people responsible for this.

Good thing stan’s don’t run companies :francis:
If you have enough capital to spend you too can buy successful publishers off the market and literally assemble success from them as your core original business you ran continues to decline.

Maybe because those companies were purchased as already successful businesses and the people running Xbox as a platform into the ground get zero credit for those divisions.

The success of the division is mostly the result of IPs and companies Xbox didn't create. Their failures are mostly the home grown stuff.

Don’t fukkin matter, that’s even better from a ceo perspective.

They purchased success:ehh:

Now why would the CEO have a problem with that?

Yes, you can :myman:

But even without Activision xbox revenue still breaking records this gen.

Now again. Why would a CEO fire the people responsible for that??

Sony fired their head playstation guy, after the activision merger, microsoft promoted theirs, you follow the logic for why that may have happened :ehh:

Lets see....

Put CoD on GP, lose a ton of money, and layoff/close studios

or

Don't put CoD on GP and make gamers on the internet upset :jbhmm:

If I'm making a decision that's best for the overall business, this is a no brainer, but this is Xbox here. Everyone from Phil to their Xbots are not the smartest bunch of people :bryan:

It matters in terms of competence. If Xbox is lead by people who fail at that then it will end up in decline just like the hardware is now. That's in the position it is in because of the decisions made by the executives in place now.

COD is an ongoing game.

3 months of GP= more money than a game purchase and that’s all money straight to xbox. No 30% cut. No retail, shipping, etc.

Yall so concerned with trying to denigrate gamepass you can’t even do math :wow:

My good Xbot breh...How many NEW GP subscribers do you think will join if CoD is added to to GP? You don't give up $70+ MSRP for a few new GP subs :russ:. And people aren't subbing just for CoD, they would either sub for other games as well if they intend to keep the sub, or sub for a month and cancel like they'll do for Hellblade 2 (for the few people even aware or interested in the game 😆):pachaha:. People who just play CoD would be better off just buying the game.

Everyone outside of the Xbox camp has said the gamepass model would be its downfall and whelp...:francis:

They need to take the L and remove day one stuff. Maybe do it after 3-6 months which would still be better than other services.
They have to add additional tiers at this point. Only thing that makes sense

This is the problem yall are running into.

Gamepass can’t simultaneously be a failure AND kill revenue for games.

Either they are bringing in lots of revenue through gamepass OR, people are rejecting gamepass and just buying games outright.

Either way COD will make lots of money.

Everyone outside of the Xbox camp has said the gamepass model would be its downfall and whelp...:francis:
If by “everyone” you mean sony stan’s wishful thinking then sure. You guys hope gamepass fails, but it’s already been a success for xbox and they will continue with it :manny:
