Turner is not that good, especially for a #2 pick. The only thing he's somewhat good at is rebounding.
i think he is a system player.
in recent times in philly, since they never had any actual frontcourt size.
he could not play ball the way he has been allowed generally.
generally in hs past, all his teams were of higher pedigree.
so, on the sixers and even with collins.
who has been a perrennial middle of the road coach.
he was stuck in a mode of figuring it out.
he ramped up well from that.
now his team is built top to bottom via x's and o's accurrately.
he can now operate and bully the paint with options to dish.
as he previously had as a luxury in his past divisions of play.
so, i think we will see him cause more of an issue in this new look sixers offense.
he needs to work on up'n his handle. by using more slick and understanding how much larger he is.
than the general opposing small guard based nba defender.
in the off's,...smaller guards exposed him.
especially when holiday came in with better slick and exposed the celtics defense.
if he added higher levels of ball handling.
he could easily ramp up another level and pose dangers to the nba as a scorer.
if he does that then he will become a huge problem.
as it makes him a tougher big guard to latch down.
i always applaud his work on the glass.
he never needs to not have that as a component to his game.
if he ups his handles,..with his size and speed.
he could become a higher coast to coast fast break offensively dangerous player.
