Id prefer Hawes over Deandre Jordan.

When is Bynum's presser?

not sure, but this is good to read

In Philly things will run through him. He’ll finally have the opportunity to fully show what he can do and because of that he’s just as excited to be a 76er as they are to have him.

“He’s totally excited about being back near home,” (Andrew) Bynum’s agent David Lee said to HOOPSWORLD. “He’s excited about the opportunity there and the team there.”

Lee also said that Bynum was not surprised by the trade. After all, he’s been involved in trade rumors since he first came into the league as a 17-year-old. Whether it was Jason Kidd, Kevin Garnett or Carmelo Anthony who he was associated with, Bynum was always involved in some sort of speculation.

With the 76ers Bynum won’t have to worry about being traded anytime soon, but there will be a lot of interest in whether or not he will sign a contract extension.

One of the big reasons why the Orlando Magic weren’t interested in trading (Dwight) Howard for Bynum straight up was because of his impending free agent status. It reportedly scared the Cleveland Cavaliers away as well. The 76ers were willing to take a chance on Bynum despite the fact that he could leave at the end of the season as an unrestricted free agent without them getting anything in return.

I wanna see how Hawes fits next to Bynum.

His size and J makes him a 2 way threat, yea he's slow, but Gasol wasn't exactly one of the fast players on the court either.

:yeshrug:

Hopefully Moultrie blossoms, and takes that starting spot. Who ever is on the court with Bynum will see alot of open looks cuz of the double and triple teaming, so they better be ready to knock em down

dude is quicker than anyone on the wolves x2

Your point? I never said he wasn't explosive, but there are players just as explosive if not more than he is in the NBA. What is he, Derrick Rose? That shyt isn't gonna stand out in the pros. I could post highlight reels of other similarly sized players dunking on guys in college and show you that it doesn't translate all the time.

If anything your highlight reel made my point for me: his bread and butter is his ability to catch and shoot. That little floater he got ain't gonna work as well against bigs in the pros as opposed to bigs from Marist.

Philly (BYRD GANG)
I believe Bynum will blossom in Philly because he will be the face of the franchise and add to the fact about 20 to 25 touches a game he will benefit greatly. This is what he wanted.

it's gotta be this or something. lol at maalik wayns going into the NBA being regarded as a jump shooter.

Not at all. What would I have against Wayns? Flynn's not even one of the examples I woulda used. All he did was slash. There's other players that had similar skill sets to Wayns that couldn't get it to translate. Just look at those clips again. If he's banking on leading and finishing full court fast breaks in the NBA consistently, then good luck. That though is a reason why he didn't get picked, which is what were debating.
