People really exaggerate when they go on and on about Barry being stuck on bad teams.

The 90s Lions weren't the Cowboys, but it's not like they were going 3-13 every year either. They made the playoffs half the time, and even during the years they missed the playoffs, they were winning 5-7 games.

Watched it yesterday. It was good. I was a kid watching Barry and was maybe 10 when he retired.

I remember it like yesterday. There was rumblings about Barry retiring. He didn't show up to training camp.

I was watching Sportscenter all day and the local news hoping for an udate that he wasn't retiring. He only needed 1 more season to break the rushing record.

Man I was crushed he retired but I really didn't care and couldn't blame him the Lions sucked.

The amount of hate peoples had for Mitchell in Michigan was legendary. Like if you was soft growing up people would compare you to Scott Mitchell. Walked into a store with my dad and they had dudes Jersey hung up with a dress. These were Lion fans. Him, Millen and Wayne Fonts absolutely despised to this day.
