•Lela Rochon is overrated as hell for some strange reason, never got it...
•I was 15 when Catwoman came out, I swear to you I've been calling Halle overrated since I was 15 years old. I don't get it, never have...
•Lark was bad now, I think Tisha had greater sex appeal...
•Salli was the truth, no argument there...
•Kenya wasn't all that either, her model background got her hyped...

Just me, as a youth the only chicks in Tisha's age bracket I'd even consider on her level, at all of their peaks, are Jada, Tichina, Salli, and Nia. May be forgetting somebody but that's off the top of my head...

Tisha gets dumped on, on some militant shyt but her attractiveness was worth the price of admission in her peak!

There's always been colorists, they were around back then and they are today, but she was very beautiful. And even in real time people debated Tichina and other dark women being more attractive...

I feel like her being light skinned has been weaponized by cats who simplify and overstate the appeal her skin tone had on others, she was bad because she was bad, she wasn't even the light brite cats were checking for the most. I honestly don’t understand why not finding a light skin woman attractive makes someone militant. I really don’t get that at all.

I think she was considered cute back then for a "tv wife/girlfriend" because most shows used older women in those roles before then. You usually had a Harriet Winslow at worst or Mrs Huxable at best. even Mrs Huxable with her sex appeal was something you didn't appreciate as a kid because she was grown. Bruh Tisha was always bad to me. Not "the baddest", but cats are weaponizing her skin tone on some other shyt, people can't play up her skin tone in one breath then other breath take your stance that she wasn't all that in real time. Which one is it?

Yeah Lela is not the deal at all, neither was Halle. Kenya has more of an argument but remember how model-crazed the 80s and 90s were, Kenya is beautiful on her own merits but she was definitely boosted by hype machine having a model background got you in those days...
