Damn man, that story about Rome got me messed up at work. Seeing that smurf made it too real. How long did it take for you to be able to look at that smurf and not tear up?

I lost my moms back in January and i got to the point a few months later where i could think about her without crying. 2 weeks ago i was cleaning my apartment and i found one of those "I Love You" Valentines Day suckers that my mom sent me 2 years ago and seeing that shyt ruined my whole day. I shouldnt even be thinking about it here at work.

I do think that there sould be another subforum in the Coli about art stuff : literature, photography, graphism, or architecture because even if it does fit in the Coliseum a little with the college stuff, to me, those stories are bigger than that and should be read by most. Be read as a testimony of an era.
I'm pretty sure that could also fit in Higher Learning and it could make good starting points for debates.

I hope the whole Coli know about this thread and that not too many colinautes sleep on it because it's just bigger than sports, @bk, @Brooklynzson can the man have an announcement for his thread ? He deserves it because the stories ring bells to many people who can relate and push them to share their own stories back which is a great movement.

Nah b, just leave it where it's at. It's stickied and nikkas that familiar with Walt will check it out. This is the best forum crowd-wise for this post. Plus the main theme is centered around athletes.

A new forum would be tumbleweeds status. This is the best forum for visibility. As forHigher Learning... You must really want nobody to read these stories then.

Don't think this is a bad idea, actually like it a lot, but think it'd be better suited to be under the Arcadium umbrella. Higher Learning is booth level ridiculous with none of the self-awareness/admitted trolling.

@Walt tell me you're making some sort of money off your writing. It ain't an easy thing to do to make a man cry/come close to tears and reflect on life like that reading a damn internet forum. Or even a book for that matter. You've done that at least a couple times .

Plan to sit down this weekend and get you 3 to 4 more episodes. Had to step away for a bit after that last one. The next batch is much lighter in nature, so I had to transition from the story about Rome and my uncle back to a lighter mindset. Anyway, I'm planning to do Lightskinned Super Hero, M-DUB, PK, She Always Says No, Banned From the Mall, and Wait... That nikka's Gay? over the next few days.

I hadn’t cried when I heard Cory on my answering machine, or at Rome’s funeral, but I guess I finally cracked. @Walt, I was at work reading this. Breh I was fighting off tears reading that man, especially when you got into the Volvo and you posted the smurf. Man, I was praying for you just for your continued growth. You are an amazing writer and you have a special talent. Please use it even if you have talents that make you more money. You can change lives man.
