:wow:

I don't know what else I can add that hasn't been said already. I discovered this thread today and read ALL the stories in one sitting.

Your writing ability just...:wow:

At the end of each story I kept saying to myself ''he can't top this'',....yet you drop that PIFF consistently.

Currently on day 9 of 12 on my honeymoon (yes, got married brehs) that took me from Paris to Ibiza and now Barcelona.

Decided to finally have a night in to just chill and catch up on things (FB/Coli/Etc). Read EP #1 while having a beer. It's been a few hours now (along with a few more drinks) and I ended up reading all EPs and responses through the 54 pages. Hard not to be engulfed, the rollercoaster of emotions :wow:

Wonderful stuff @Walt - you have an art at painting a picture that is easy to imagine through the structure and worldplay of the stories. The Preacher Man especially. It really hit home and the pic of the Smurf...... can't even describe the feeling when clicking that spoiler. Was also great that it allowed other Coli brehs to share their stories, but to also retrospect on life. I know I did.

Looking forward to the rest. :salute:

Just finished Preacher Man. I don't even know what to say. I know it's the internet, and being "anonymous" is supposed to make everything so easy, but I can't imagine how hard it was for you to put them words down for us to read. So thank you Walt, for opening up places that are undoubtedly much easier left closed.

And many others have said it, but I have to say it as well: you really have a great talent for putting words together, and writing very well, thought out pieces. Hopefully that talent is being used for more than just entertaining us in our little corner of the digital world, though I'm sure maybe it's also therapeutic in a sense. Whatever the case, well done friend.

A few Floors Down from the Daily Grind
That last story reminded me in some wierd way to a book I once read called Paddys Lament.

Just a detailed account on the individual stories of some of the 6 million Irish who died during the potatoe famine.

I know this shyt has nothing to do with potatoes, but the stories of the survivors and the casualties and the decisions that familys made just seems to resonate with me right now.

and you're a fakkit

@Walt knows I'm just :troll:

And he knows how I feel about - not just his writing - but him as a person. You seem soft, so I'll quote drake for you to drive it home - he truly started from the bottom, now he's here.

Obviously, It goes without saying, but obviously the Rome story gutted me a little bit. Walt and I have both dealt with mental illness in the family and while he's not as black or handsome as me, we share a struggle.

Wouldn't mind hearing that story.

Great story once again, @Walt. Chapeau.

I do think that there sould be another subforum in the Coli about art stuff : literature, photography, graphism, or architecture because even if it does fit in the Coliseum a little with the college stuff, to me, those stories are bigger than that and should be read by most. Be read as a testimony of an era.
I'm pretty sure that could also fit in Higher Learning and it could make good starting points for debates.

I hope the whole Coli know about this thread and that not too many colinautes sleep on it because it's just bigger than sports, @bk, @Brooklynzson can the man have an announcement for his thread ? He deserves it because the stories ring bells to many people who can relate and push them to share their own stories back which is a great movement.

5*/Classic/+RepWhenTheyBack/AllDappedUp/Rafters worthy thread.
