But to even bring Rondo up when he hasn't even played a serious game w/o the Big 3 is straight obsessive. I mean he should be irrelevant right? I don't see them making threads on Jrue Holiday like this. He was in competition with Rose at one time.

nikkas haven't realized this yet? I love Rondo, I'll take him over that gutless fakkit Deron Williams any day of the week, but son is really nothing but a system point guard. It's not even about the big 3.. If you aren't letting Rondo pound the ball on your team, he's basically useless. Of course the big 3 amplified Rondo's effectiveness In that style, but Rondo would get his on any team where he pounds the ball and makes one pass on offense. If you think Chris Paul dribble too much, you really haven't watched a Celtics game post-2009.
Not sure if the term pure passer even applies in basketball but Rondo is probably the purest PG if (and only IF) he has a great team around him. But alone, dude is not even all-star worthy. His scoring ability is too limited for him to lead a team of average players let alone carry them.
Chris Paul and Deron have always been better. Rondo just benefits from being a Celtic AND being around great players. I always thought that "big 4" talk was bullsh!t
