this is where being strapped can come in handy. fukk all this MMA bullshyt.
how do u get out of a choke hold like that?Brazillian Jiujitsu
What were you saying @King Poetic. Something about BJJ never working in the street or something like that. Friend, dont underestimate this art. You hear this man sounding like he was panicking for his LIFE? Terrifying feeling to not be able to breath.
Please learn Brazillian Jiujitsu yall. Its real important. This young man did not and thought he could defeat a ninja with just street fighting.
That's why it's stupid to square up with people.. If you gonna fight, fight... fukk all that walking over here and there to fight shyt.
As far as that grapping/BJJ stuff... I'd be trying to bite chunks out of dudes arms, legs whatever..
You mine as well get into MMA now. Not like you're going to be a boxing champ one day. Mine as well cross train and learn how to Really fight. You're on a lower level right now. You cant jump start alcoholism so early in your career and think you're going places. MMA would probably be better for you.
how do u get out of a choke hold like that?
My biggest fear is being put into a choke lock.push up on dudes elbow and spin into it like he did at 1:42 then immediately get to his feet because clearly dude didn't know what the hell to do when they went to the ground. I'd imagine dude was loopy as shyt after getting Scorpion Death Dropped 3 times tho, that shyt was uncomfortable to listen to/watch
-P-
There are a few ways to do it and everyone does it based on how they were trained. Heres the one i typically do.how do u get out of a choke hold like that?
Im sorry but you have no idea what you're talking about. The guy who choked is an amateur but he has been practicing. His transition from the back to the mount to the choke to north south to his feet and then the slam were all technical. Is he ready for the ufc, obviously not but please lets be more sensible when we speak on what bjj is and is not. As a brown belt i think i know more of what it is, then you, friend. That wasn't bjj. Not even close. He couldn't fight so he choked him. You could see the desperation in eyes that's why he slammed his head so many times in/on the pavement. Fear and desperation, not control and technique. The Asian wasn't trying to kill him he was grasping and wiggling doing anything to get he other guy to stop fighting.
From someone who claims to know or train bjj im embarrassed. This is a disgrace to anyone who trains, has trained or even watched bjj/mma
Yes he had some training in bjj based on the transitions i saw. I wouldnt put him past a low level blue belt TOPS for the simple fact he had many opportunities to sweep but just opted to hold while on his back but yes he has been doing some training. Its not easy to go from the mount to the choke when someone opts to give you their back. Especially in an adrenaline heavy FIST FIGHT! That takes some technical training. Again i cant put him past a very low blue belt though (max) because that choke should have been finished and i noticed alot of sloppiness in the technque but it was still technical and not rocket science to pull off for a entry level student. If you really think the Asian cat had some formal knowledge of BJJ/MMA techniques then I seriously doubt your credentials as a trained martial artist. These were just non-skilled kids scrapping & the Asian dude got lucky by using his leverage to get the other opponent into a headlock first (which in most cases will give you the major edge in winning a fight/street brawl). But I'd have to agree that you're definitely correct in your belief that more people (specifically African Americans males) need to take up the of study BJJ/MMA for self-defense purposes.
Theres ways, but you have to know them.there are ways to counter MMA moves though you talking like it's end all be all. If it was that cut and dry you wouldn't be able to spar because the shyt would be over in 2 seconds.
I tried to understand wtf u were saying. It's best I just watch videos on that shytThere are a few ways to do it and everyone does it based on how they were trained. Heres the one i typically do.
First, dont let someone get their hands around your throat, let alone LOCK IN THE CHOCK. Once the arm begins to go up around the throat, you bring both hands up to pull down the choking arm with both hands and keep your chin tucked. You may end up getting your jaw choked (possibly broken) but thats better then being asleep talking to your elders. They may be strong and the arm may not go all the way down when you pull but the balance of resistance of him trying to choke you while you pull it down will fatigue his arm causing him to abandon the position.
This part is a little hard to describe but from a position like that you get the shoulder on the ground in the direction of the the arm that is choking you. So say if a arm goes around your neck and the hand points to the right, thats the side you want to get your outside shoulder to. You want that shoulder on the ground, Your hands should still be pulling down on the choking arm. From there you turn into your opponent, get your hips out and from there you can reverse the position and put the opponent on his back while you rain punches or get back to your feet in a scramble, friend.
Now if the choke is already locked in most times its a wrap for you. You're talking miliseconds of action required to escape here. There may not be space between your throat and his arm to get your fingers in to pull the arm down and sometimes an opponent is so strong, you may get your fingers in there but just end up choking your own self while he squeezes the daylights out of you The only thing you can really hope to do it reach behind you and fish for the hand on the arm he used to lock in the choke and you then have to attempt to pull that from either the back of your head or the side of his face, down over your shoulder while pulling down on his wrist with your other hand to alleviate some pressure. That can be difficult to do while someone is strangling you but if you can unlock it can alleviate pressure and you can quickly go back to pulling the arm down with both hands. Again, prevention is the best defense. Alot of students want to know what to do when they have the smallest percent chance of escape when they should be practicing techniques to keep them out of such deep water.
Friend.
Youtube will show you a few ways to get out. Im just trying to describe the way i learned. These are martial arts so everyone does something different with that paint brush.I tried to understand wtf u were saying. It's best I just watch videos on that shyt
