Nah, I don't trust shyt that ESPN bloggers--statisticians put out. They just mad that NBA coaches and GM kept recognizing KObe as a top perimeter defender.

Noah's name on there is by far the most misleading.

If he got to play alongside Taj or Asik more the past 3 seasons he wouldn't be subject to that shyt.

I guarantee you a lot of points and possessions are given to the guy he's guarding because he's covering for Boozer's garbage ass.

And I've known Rondo was a terrible on ball defender for years now.

nikkas were laughing at me for saying Rose as a defender>>> Rondo as a defender on SOHH.

Noah plays alongside Boozer, not sure why this wasnt noted in the article.

Statistics can always be misleading. Measuring points per possession when a player is on the court vs. when he is off the court is subject to statistical flaws and fallacies. That method assumes constants that don't actually exist.

1. A starter is most likely going to be spending most of his time against the best offensive players on the other team.

2. A lame duck like Boozer going to the bench and being replaced with someone like Taj immediately makes the defense a lot better, no matter who the other 4 guys are.

Kobe an overrated defender according to this cac... lets ask everybody who abused Kobe in a series how overrated he is.

Oh wait

Kobe is never guarding the other team's top guy, that's why. If the Lakers need to try to slow down a perimeter scorer, they stick Ron on him and everyone acknowledges that Ron has lost more than just a step or two and he doesn't come close to getting any defensive awards anymore.

Kobe keeps his reputation by making sure the likes of Thabo Sefolosha, Dahntay Jones, Ronnie Brewer, and Keith Bogans don't go off :comeon: His contributions on the defensive side are minimal.

Kobe's been overrated on defense for at least the last 7 seasons. Probably more.
