here we go with the overblown stereotypes....

this trailer looks trash. if this is going to be a unnuanced film about pledging, overblowing violence (not saying some chapters don't cross the line) and not highlighting any other parts of the process, reasons for joining (beyond being cool and fukking hoes), or the brotherhood/sisterhood and service of black greek orgs, then the creator (a frat member) is doing a disservice.

It wasnt light.

It was chaotic.

Normal situations are in controlled environments.

What has happened is some scenarios are ridiculous and people get hurt...as in the case with the FAMU drum major

And these days...nikkas aint risking felony charges for hazing.....so the gut kicks was BS...the shower scene was BS

Nothing about hazing is "normal". If dudes were polite and taking turns instead of all out jumping them it wouldn't make it normal, but I see your point. The shower scene was over the top, but all the slaps to the ribs they were handing out would've been punches IRL.

These dudes don't think about seriously hurting or killing someone in the heat of the moment, so they don't realize what's at stake. On top of most them never getting punished for it in the first place. There's no reason to take it easy, especially if you went through the same treatment previously. You want to make it worse on the next line just because.

I'm positive the majority of hazing isn't as brutal as it was portrayed in the movie, but there are a lot of cases when it is. The problem is there's no solution from the top, so things like what happened in the movie will continue to happen.

I hate open endings just because. Imperial Dreams I kinda understood, but I don't see why this movie was left open ended

Went to college in the 90s had potnas and roomates who was on line. nikkaz would come back to the dorm fukkED up.

Flinstone lumps on the head, eye patches, entire body sore. Would ask them what the fukk was they doin? Y'all trippin. The answer I always got was family, grandfather, pops, uncles, cousins was all frat. Life long connections after crossing, etc. They was SERIOUS with that shyt.

But naw nothing could make me wanna go through all that shyt.

Im only 6 minutes into the movie and I'm already like

My daddy an Alpha and my uncle is too. I never pledged tho....im cool wit the Kappas, Ques, Alphas n sigmas on my campus. And i coulda seen myself pledging any of em at one point .





I know the nikkas who do the pledging. If they kicked me or called me a bytch azz nikka like the movie id be sitting there like nikka u know u aint gotta do all this calm down.





One thing Ill say is not everybody who pledges is buying friends....some of em already knew everybody around campus. Im finna watch the movie tho...i can already tell this shyt exaggerated tho....I hope these nikkas I know wasnt gettin beat up and not doing shyt

I just watched this. I was about to make a thread and @ all of ya'll. I already knew this shyt already but watching it makes it much worse. Ya'll really talking crazy but this really is what happens. Not just going to Church's.

Movie wasn't fleshed out at all. 1 hour and 40 minutes is alot of time to work with and it felt like a short film

-Why were the dean and his professor so interested in him?

-What was the purpose of the sorority chick in his class

I cannot nuderstand how anyone would put up with all of the shyt the dudes pledging this frat did. I would have kicked dudes ass in the woods immediately at the start of the movie.

Also this movie was really uneven and looked like it had some serious editing issues as far as seeds with characters that were planted but dropped.
