So shooters are not popular on consoles now
When CS hit Xbox Live, it was the best version out at that time (this was before CSS)
The game was mad fun, and I played it on PC for years prior to it and still enjoyed it
So you really are just coming off like a dumbass, but at least you thought you was special a few minutes ago

I don't agree for this reason. The xbox didn't take the console world by storm
What it had going for it was XBL, not Halo
It came with an Ethernet port built in, thats what made XBL work
Bungie is trying to take credit for something that was already there

Halo 2 was very popular for the system, no question. But ppl didn't join XBL because of Halo 2
if you liked Halo 1, you couldn't wait for Halo 2... what does that have to do with XBL tho?

Who here played Ghost Recon... Splinter Cell Online (top 5 all time online game) or Rainbow 6's (especially black arrow)
Cuz those games shytted all over Halo, and was loved by millions
The reason the 360 took off was because of what they were doing with XBL
Nobody was goin coocoo to try Perfect Dark 0 like that (well, after it dropped at least)
All the shyt the competition has now is because of XBL, not Halo

Halo 1 didn't have online. By the time Halo 2 came out, I was DEEP in the online playing game (Halo 2 came out Nov 04')

Those games I just named are the sole reason gaming is what it is today.. shooter heavy
Not cuz of Halo, but more so because of Tom Clancy. Yes, Tom is the reason, not Bungie

Ghost Recon, Rainbow 6 and Splinter Cell was the Gaming Trinity during these years. Halo 2 then piggybacked off the success of those franchises in terms of expanding the popularity of XBL
That, and sports games of course. Madden, 2k was already 3/4games deep before Halo 2 bruh
