Very good album. Doesn't sound rushed or anything. The Krit involvement is appreciated, though I'm not sure if he actually produced any of the tracks. Blood On The Dash and Grow Up are some real ass tracks. Gone Away is some smooth shyt, like how the beat just rides, and it's a cool end to the album. U A bytch, Slow It Down, and Hoes From Da Hood are nice too. Always been a fan of Killer Mike, but I think El-P's beats for those Run These Jewels albums are pretty trash. On here though, the song with Run These Jewels is dope, and props to El-P for not dropping a trash beat on that song (if it is him that produced it).

I like the album. I thought it would be too feature heavy, but it works.

Only thing is that with interviews with the Breakfast Club and Sway, he mentioned giving game to younger peoples and this being a "mature" album. So I was looking forward to Bun's 444, Life is Good, Deeply Rooted album. I only got that vibe towards the end. I think it's a collection of really good songs, not so much a good album (one theme, vibe, message, etc.)

Of course, I've only listened once and it's good enough to re visit.

Off top, this is MUCH better than his last few, just off the simple fact that he stopped repeating the last syllable of every bar.

But to keep it a buck, while there are some standouts (KnoWhatImSayin, Outta Season, Rudeboi)....he aint sayin nothing we haven't already heard before better. :yeshrug:

It's nice to see him try again, but he's got nothing left to offer us.
