Aight this is when I gotta call a timeout, cuz Goku wasn't fukking with Cell AT ALL. That was the whole reason he was so confident. Dude was like
when he finally felt Cell's power up close but was playing it cool because he knew Gohan was gonna handle it. Piccolo even pointed it out - he only fought Cell so Gohan could get a gauge of Cell's fighting style. He knew he was weaker than Cell.If you notice, during the fight everyone was watching like "

Nope. His signature move was Masenko which was taken from PiccoloI don't think any of his sons do either
and vegeta had to transform and use the great ape form... Goku had to abuse the Kaioken and damn near destroy his body with x3 and x4 to break even and BARELY get the edge during the beam struggle in the first Vegeta fight. All these quantifiers aside, he lost the 1v1 after Vegeta transformed.
