I don't think New York media is gonna be any easier lol. In fact, I haven't even bothered looking up anything comin out of New York.

been thinking that same thing ... NY media aint too friendly though ... if Rose starts out slow they wont hesitate to shyt on the move

It's a no risk all reward move for NY...

I'm not sure what Rose they'll get, because he knows it's Melo's team...will he actually average double digit assist?...will he play that passive way he plays when he's on an all star team...will he assert himself?...i'm not sure

I'm just be honest. I really got a feeling rose is gonna have major success.... I'm praying for a lebron situation when it comes to him... He leaves, learns how to win(Championship) and that he'll return home one day to bring one to the Land......

Until Then...... Jimmy's up next....... let's see what he do with it

My disappointment not even really all about seeing rose go.

It's about the fact we still here stuck with this front office and we about to suck next season. I hope not, but that is how it's looking right now. The east keeps improving. Gar and pax seem stuck on proving the hire of fred was right, and all the picks they made in the draft is right, god damn they haven't even thrown snell in the bushes, they still trying to justify that bullshyt smh

If we were letting rose go and had plans to add some studs next to jimmy I would :salute: rose and keep it pushing with hope for what we have. But we have no direction, no idea of a clear plan, nobody wants to join us, and our new crowned best player is not in the stratosphere of a lebron , curry, durant, etc guys you can build a team around. This shyt is the equivalent of trying to build a franchise around Joe johnson (yea I said it) future looks bleek.

I'm hoping jimmy has a harden mvp kind of run. That would brighten up my day. Don't look possible tho.

Who the hell is our 2nd and 3rd options mcdermott? Pump fake niko? Oh damn we are screwed :snoop:

Places like milwaukee, minnesota, indiana, utah etc. lil cities wit no major media would've been the best outcome on that situation :francis:
And all of those places would've wanted us to throw in a first.

I'm not that bothered by the trade because I was ready to move on.

What would've been the plan for Rose?

I was going back and forth with some people on Memorial Day because I was saying we should blow it up and just rebuild. And when it came to Derrick, people kept using the word "If"

If he's healthy

If he doesn't get hurt

If he comes back with a jumpshot

If he and Jimmy learns to play together

We've been saying "If" with Rose for 5 years now.

Even if he has a "good" year, which I suspect will happen, because he knows he needs to to get that big deal, which means consistent effort on defense, playing hard every game regardless of how good the opposing pg is and playing 70+ games, would you really be comfortable giving him that 25M+ deal he would've asked for next summer?

I've said for a while now both he and Butler need to be moved.

I've also said I expect GarPax to fukk this up.

The good thing is, now we don't have to worry about the Bulls making a play for Harrison Barnes in free agency. But wow, what a clusterfukk at the SG/SF spot. And the only guy that you have confidence in there, is a guy that could be out the door as well.

Looking at what has transpired, their has to be moves coming. Whether for future picks or salary dumps. But I think it's clear we need to address the PG spot and the front line. There were some sleeper free agents that I was interested in as well, but we have so many guys that play the same position they must be out of play as well. I'm thinking about Crabbe, Bazemore type guys... surely they will not cost as much as Barnes/Batum. But we held onto Jimmy and then we drafted Valentine... so I don't know what the hell is going on with this roster.

One thing I don't want to see is Calderon starting for us next year. Please, not that.

Noah, Pau, Moore, and Brooks are all gone... so looking at this plethora of mediocrity, how exactly does Gar/Pax effectively 're-tool' this roster from here on out? What moves are realistically in play that can do that?

I won't be surprised when he plays well, but I'll also remember how bad he was at times his last year here... and say, "if" he played like he's playing now, things would have ended differently here in Chicago.

And if he buys into Hornacek's offense which is uptempo and with pace, I'm going to really feel some kind of way about that too.

Fred's got his work cut out to find a working rotation out of that :merchant:
