I guess Rose really was leaving in free agency....He must be a real dikk or SOMETHING...like...something may not be right that the public isn't privy to..
Jimmy Butler was the main culprit at being the problem in Hoiberg's offense. All the isolations and ball hogging he did was a direct "fukk you" to what Fred wanted the team to be doing. Here's the thing: GarPax aren't going anywhere. I've accepted that. If running Thibs out of town and missing the playoffs in the fukking East didn't do it, nothing will. I'm done bytching about them and what they did in the past. It sucks but this is how it is.
Taking this deal at face value + the implications for Noah and Gasol (gone) + turning the keys over to Butler + (hopefully) letting Hoiberg put together a roster he likes (I don't trust him but I'm choosing to be optimistic for at least one more year)...I'm ok with where they sit right now.
I understand people want a full rebuild but the only way that happens is if we give Jimmy away for basically nothing, and with his contract that doesn't make sense to me.
Looking at everything together I'm not happy with this team but given the reality of the situation I think this is the best they could have done right now. And I doubt they're done dealing.
Wonder if this Calderรณn piece is to keep Pau with the Bulls

I don't get how turning the keys over to Jimmy on offense is ideal for Hoiberg's offense. The dude showed me time and time again, that he was going to go out of his way to do whatever he wanted to do. Unless he buys in, it's going to be the same story. His EGO probably will be even more out of control now that the organization just traded Rose away. Dude gonna come into camp like, "I'm the captain now".
Gar confirmed what I said in the other thread.
I don't now bro, I saw Rose pushing the pace much more than I saw Jimmy.Maybe so. I can see it going both ways. He might see this as a sign that the FO/Hoiberg are willing to commit to him thus causing him to buy in.
Also, I saw Rose's refusal to push the tempo as an equal culprit.
Gasol isn't coming back to this shyt.Gar confirmed what I said in the other thread.

Rose was far more willing to move the ball than Jimmy was all last season.
