Looking at our issues, in hindsight trading away two picks for McDermott was such an idiotic move

if we kept those picks and took garry harris and rodney hood, we would be top 2 in the east right now im convinced of it
my problem with all this, is everyone wanting to ship off 1 of the best players, when the truth is, we should be giving up on the niko, mcdermott, snell, dunleavy, brooks of the team, who taking up minutes and are not consistent in contributing. these guys will have a few weeks they shining, then you can barely tell they on the floor.
my plan would be ship mcdermott off for a more quality 2 way player. doug defense is always going to be a liability. of course snell outta here, and if you can get jahlil okafor for niko, you better do it.
the bulls using vet min guys and late 1st rd picks to solidify the depth is the problem to me. also a coach who cant lead men is also a problem.

some key things:
taj seemed to be the only one still rocking with thibs. jimmy supposedly went as far as to say, if thibs stays, he is outta here. so the decision to part with thibs seemed to play a part in jimmy resigning here as well. tough position to be in
its some truth to the idiot front office telling rose noah taj etc they can start tuning thibs out
players didnt like the kirk trade
damn, noah and jimmy really almost came to blows?! i guess that happens tho, likely happens in all locker rooms. bad its getting out tho.
jimmy biggest clash seems to be more with hoiberg than any of the players tho.

Jimmy been clashing with Noah/Rose since last year it sounds like
Dude needs to take a step back and realize he's being a detriment
It's probably beyond repair now though
But those issues with Jimmy should be fixable if everyone could just be grown men and realize change is needed from everyone

said philly might do it because they behind the scenes have a issue with okafur who never really wanted to come to philly and embid is coming back.
said niko as a stretch 4 might be a better fit with noel and embid than okafur.
i like the idea.
another idea i liked that was suggested was jimmy for blake griffen straight up.
Jimmy for Blake seems plausible
Then beg Noah to stay since Jimmy gone. Throw the book at Batum. Probably have to move Taj/Duns to make run for both of them.
Then look to move one of Portis/Niko (only need one backup for Blake)
Rose/Moore?
Batum/Holiday
Doug/draft pick? or trade return from Niko/Portis
Blake/whoever is kept between Niko/Portis
Noah/Felicio
I think Mark is a lil out there with the Niko for Okafor tho, especially with Philly having a new regime

i dont think its impossible that okafur will be traded. when a player has went through back channels to let it be known he never wanted to come to philly, a organization takes that personal. he clearly doesnt want to be there. and what better place to send him then back to his hometown for a stretch 4 that better plays off embid. not saying its some truth to a rumor or that people even got on the phone and discussed it, but if we looking for smart trades in the off season, that might be one to explore.
and i like the idea of moving taj and dun going hard after batum and moving 1 of portis and niko. i dont like keeping doug at the 3 tho. i would actually rather keep niko at the 3 and keep doug on the bench. doug has grown offensively but with that line up, teams will be eating doug for food lol

Okafor for Niko?
if that deal for niko for okafor is on the table, I'm pulling the trigger on that with no fukks given.
it's not like either can defend that great, but I'd rather roll with the cat that has a legitimate post up game and won't be taking contested 25 footers every game.
I think that is just Mark S. spitballing, that can't be a legit opportunity
