Valentine has looked good in the last few SL games. Yeah grain of salt I know but he showed a lot of confidence and clearly isn't scared of big moments. Also, you can just see him figuring the game out and finding openings and passing lanes. Also, I like that he has a playing style similar to Steph in that due to his shooting, he won't have to constantly rely on getting to the line and risking his body. Which is very important considering his health concerns, and the last thing we need is another Rose scenario

But yeah seeing Rondo talking to him during timeouts and knowing Wade will be there to groom him throughout the year has me very optimistic about this dude.

i don't think any of perimeter plays can play defense, which is my concern. There's no 3-D guy on the team. Valentine has been getting eaten alive on defense in the summer league.

So looks like we are going to be playing 1 side of the ball this year.

i don't know what happened, Grant looked like he had the goods at Notre Dame. I thought he'd be at least serviceable

even tho snell is a 4th year player now, why wouldn't he be in summer league? I mean he needs it bad.

lol...that's unprecedented isn't it? He actually is better off working on his game solo...he knows the offense,he needs to work on consistency and ball handling and those drills are sometimes better in individual workouts.

Valentine showing me a lot in SL. He has been clearly the best ball handler and distributor, he gives solid effort every play and he has some big game play in him evident by the 2 3s he hit in the 4th vs the cavs.

I also saw him give at least a good effort on defense saw a couple of good defensive efforts on mccrae last night. Rondo is a great mentor for him, valentine could actually be a rondo kind of player but with the ability to hit 3s at a good clip. I can see valentine eating up all the back up pg minutes, cause Dinwiddle is improving but I see more skill with valentine, and I'm just not that sold on grant at all.

Valentine might not be good as a man defender but he's gonna make plays off the ball in passing lanes because he reads the game so well. He's been doing it in SL. He's also gonna help as a rebounder. So he'll find ways to contribute defensively I think

Tyus Jones is balling out here in summer league - he's the guy i wanted last year, happy with Bobby Portis but thought Tyus was eventually going to be a good starting PG or solid Backup

with the moves this team made in the offseason that was certainly the direction the franchise was headed.
