we gonna find out this season
naw brose on point. thibs made that bench look great. if the new guys coming in buy into thibs system the bench will be okay.
thing is when you have a team that posted the best record in the league 2 years in a row, you dont downgrade, you upgrade tweak until you get good players with multiple skills to replace the minimally skilled players we had. thibs had john lucas, cj watson and ronnie brewer looking decent, imagine what he would do with some players with athleticism and good offensive skills.
as for the topic, i have never seen a team that was contending, literally blow the ability to flip all they assets, and not recover and sign anyone of substance. i have seen contending teams make a trade or sign a player in the attempt to get better and it dont work out, and that team takes a step back. i have never seen a team that was contending, basically concede to mediocrity and not even attempt a true shot at tweaking and getting better.
i have never seen a organization 2 seasons in a row, not flip any of they assets. this team 2 seasons in a row accumulated over 10 million in unguarantee contracts and expirings and has gotten nothing for them either time. this team knew that it was going to come down between taj or omer for who the bulls could keep and they sat on they azz and let houston pimp slap them. when they could have flipped omer last off season or this past trade deadline.
the bulls have blown being able to tank because they have 60 mill going toward they starting five and they should have flipped a couple of guys in this years draft for lottery picks and young players on rookie deals. but they sat on they ass and to tank paying your starting 5 close to 60 million is ridiculous.
then the bulls blew re tweaking the line up because they played the conservative "let the market dictate" game and missed out on everybody who would have been true upgrades. then showed no true interest in the guard who was there for the taking in oj mayo. mayo works out with rose every summer, went to college with taj, and could have been promised a starting spot to get his stock up on a contending team in the east, and the bulls front office cant close that?
we get a TPE from the korver trade that we are making no good use for.
we have unguarantee money from brewer and cj and cant get anything for either of them.
basically the bulls front office has screwed everything up this off season. they cant do neither tanking or re tooling right.
so the key acquisitions for a so called contending team, that has its superstar pg out for the first 2 months is kirk hinrich and vladamir radmanovic? just embarrassing and i would have the rate this the wackest off all time off season because i have never seen a front office literally blow everything]
worst part about all this: even if the bulls let asik walk, with rose raise next season and having to fill out the roster, the bulls will still have to pay the tax lol so these idiots cant even stay under the tax the right way! they blew that one too!
