nerlens noel, shabazz the gawd, alex poythress I think are gonna be beasts in the NBA when they get drafted in 2013...but chicago aint gonna be able to get a high enough pick to get any of them, because like you said..thibs wont tank.

:yeshrug:

Noel will be good but he's gonna need 3-4 years to develope like Bynum and Jermaine O'neal..

And let me get on the bandwagon early and say that I hate Shabazz's game and feel like he will never be a good NBA player...

Feel free to bump this in 3 years if we're still around...

I actually hate shabazz. just for going to ucla.. but hes gonna be a good pro I think. Howland wont develop him much though, should've gone to be coached by juan calipario:lolbron:

I think Alex Poythress will be better than Shabazz though to be honest. He is an athletic freak and very intelligent (he could've gone to vandy if he wanted)..nikkas don't know about him now but come draft time they sure as fukk will.

I really dont understand what the fukk they are doing. WOAT offseason.

To be fair tho... Thibs MADE that bench what it was.. fukk outta here saying they made the team 'effective'. Thibs will make any bench SOLID.

It wouldn't shock me if the Bulls miss the playoffs, and Stern hooks them up w/ Jabari Parker.

naw brose on point. thibs made that bench look great. if the new guys coming in buy into thibs system the bench will be okay.

thing is when you have a team that posted the best record in the league 2 years in a row, you dont downgrade, you upgrade tweak until you get good players with multiple skills to replace the minimally skilled players we had. thibs had john lucas, cj watson and ronnie brewer looking decent, imagine what he would do with some players with athleticism and good offensive skills.

as for the topic, i have never seen a team that was contending, literally blow the ability to flip all they assets, and not recover and sign anyone of substance. i have seen contending teams make a trade or sign a player in the attempt to get better and it dont work out, and that team takes a step back. i have never seen a team that was contending, basically concede to mediocrity and not even attempt a true shot at tweaking and getting better.

i have never seen a organization 2 seasons in a row, not flip any of they assets. this team 2 seasons in a row accumulated over 10 million in unguarantee contracts and expirings and has gotten nothing for them either time. this team knew that it was going to come down between taj or omer for who the bulls could keep and they sat on they azz and let houston pimp slap them. when they could have flipped omer last off season or this past trade deadline.

the bulls have blown being able to tank because they have 60 mill going toward they starting five and they should have flipped a couple of guys in this years draft for lottery picks and young players on rookie deals. but they sat on they ass and to tank paying your starting 5 close to 60 million is ridiculous.

then the bulls blew re tweaking the line up because they played the conservative "let the market dictate" game and missed out on everybody who would have been true upgrades. then showed no true interest in the guard who was there for the taking in oj mayo. mayo works out with rose every summer, went to college with taj, and could have been promised a starting spot to get his stock up on a contending team in the east, and the bulls front office cant close that?

we get a TPE from the korver trade that we are making no good use for.

we have unguarantee money from brewer and cj and cant get anything for either of them.

basically the bulls front office has screwed everything up this off season. they cant do neither tanking or re tooling right.

so the key acquisitions for a so called contending team, that has its superstar pg out for the first 2 months is kirk hinrich and vladamir radmanovic? just embarrassing and i would have the rate this the wackest off all time off season because i have never seen a front office literally blow everything]

worst part about all this: even if the bulls let asik walk, with rose raise next season and having to fill out the roster, the bulls will still have to pay the tax lol so these idiots cant even stay under the tax the right way! they blew that one too!

But rockets just had 4 1st round picks. Sounds like a good off season to me

Morey said we was gonna get the big name free agents and start competing for a ship

NEITHER is gonna happen

had a complete fire sale and got rid of everyone for NOTHING in return

having 4 unproven round picks dont mean shyt when ur winning 30 games

but so far the rookies are playin well in summer league play (i know its only summer league)

As a Bulls fan im frustrated but that's how it happens sometimes. After watching the Bulls lose out on T-Mac Duncan and Hill that one off season i knew they would never get a superstar to sign there. That Jordan shadow is just to big. Then they didn't want to part with Deng to get Kobe, forgot all about what happened with the KG situatiion. Could have got Bron if D-Rose would have pushed it i believe, then didn't really put in a legit bid for Melo. I'm starting to think the Bulls are snake bitten like a mutha. Yeah six rings in the 90's is cool but thats two decades ago. Just look at the luck they have had since Jordan left. Drafted Curry and Chandler when they should have just got one and kept Brand. Only to watch 10 and 11 years later both of them are NBA champions albeit Curry was just taking up space. Just last year the Bulls were considered the future and the biggest threat to Miami, now i don't even know if they will be a top four seed if Rose was healthy. But Thibs is too good of a coach for them not to be in the playoffs.

I don't care about NOT signing bench players and then replacing them with worse and cheaper options to save bread. But I say if u wanna tank the season, at least attempt to trade Deng :noah: :rip: and boozer for picks or legit #2 player to give rose some help when he comes back. But our FO don't care. They just see another season of sold out games and are making money hand over fist yet still too cheap to pay the luxury tax. Deng needs to be traded after an all stat season, cuz he already reached his ceiling and some sucker team might take his contract off our hands.
