Pretty much, fans down there fickle as hell. Dude's inconsistent, but their problems are deeper than him. If your defense is letting other teams go down the field on you and scoring at will, it ain't gonna matter who's quarterbacking because the defense is gonna keep the other team in it.
He was ass the last 4th of the season, but even being ass, he still had them where all the defense needed was a stop to win a couple of games. Give him next year, since that'll be the first time he'll actually have the same coaching staff on offense for the first time in 2 years. If he's good keep him, if not cut him and hope you can find your QB in the draft.
I just hate people blaming the team's problems on him when that wasn't the case.
Pretty much. Idk why most Tampa fans have the sense of entitlement that they do. Freeman is the best QB we've had in our franchise. Our problems were on defense again this year...our secondary got worked week in and week out
I know i'm gonna get roasted for this, but I see another Steve Young situation happening. Fans thought he was trash when he was first drafted here, so they send him to San Fran for a couple of picks, Young finds his way and beasts the fukk out of the league and Tampa fukked up and continues to suck for until the late 90s early 2000s
I'm hoping that shyt don't happen again.

Agreed though, it's the right move. Not like he has any bargaining leverage to get a new deal right now.
Hes got the tools to be a a good QB. Hes not going to be elite, but a good 2nd tier guy. It could be that hes just an idiot and will never put it together. First few weeks of the season he was ass...then after the bye he was lighting it up, then back to
We'll see what happens though, hes finally got some consistency on offense. Last year playcalling killed our team, not to mention everyone giving up on Coach Morris.
