dude has come up short, i big hopes for him. i don't follow TB much so i don't know if it's due to development/coaching/play calling, but 2011 was definitely a shytty season from him

He'll ball out this year, he's an underrated player. Put him on the Jets or Dallas, and he'd be great.

dude has been up-and-down his whole career.

he'll get an extension in mid-season if he plays well.

but i can see schiano drafting a QB in the 2nd/3rd round.

A few Floors Down from the Daily Grind
I personally like a lot of what he brings to the table in the NFL, but hes been very up and down as people have mentioned.

I think the coach is doing the right thing personally.

He is basically a younger Ryan Fitzpatrick right now, and I wonder if Buffalo wishes they could have his extension money back?

As a coach, your number 1 indicator of your success is always going to be your QB. So if you come into your first NFL gig and see that up and down play, why would you want the GM to rush him to a long term deal and tie your fate to his boat?

Smart move.
