Saw a play last night where he scrambled up the middle, slid, got up, and was buddying up with the defender like they were old teammates, then walked back to the huddle, walked into a dlineman and was like, sorry sir.
First time I've ever watched him play but my two takeaways are this:
he's absolutely fukking p*ssy, and
he will never win shyt in the NFL, ever ever ever, so let's just save ourselves years of debate on here and move on from ever discussing this guy because I ASSURE you he aint it

Andrew Luck did that shyt too and he was on his way to a great career until the Colts ruined him, this is nonsense. :camby:

I've been highly critical of Bryce Young...
But has Bryce turned a corner?

:patrice:

In his final 7 games of the 2024 regular season...

61% completion
11 TD passing
3 INT
93.2 passer rating
5 TD rushing

The team only went 2-5 but it sure did seem like he was playing noticeably better.
And that's saying something when you don't have a TE, and you're throwing to the corpse of Adam Thielen and relative unknowns like Jalen Coker and Xavier Legette.

I'll eat my words here. It seems like there is still some optimism in Carolina for 2025.

@42 Monks Thoughts?

He definitely strung together solid cohort of game data over the backend of the season. The question is if it's an outlier or also just b/c he set the bar so low for himself :patrice:

It would be dope if he bounced byke from being damn near historically bad tho :ehh:

Team success is highly predicated on an effective run game.

He's improved on some of his mechanics, navigating the pocket, and making anticipation throws around 15 yards.

He still has issues with deep ball accuracy and pace on out routes. But he's willing to scramble to give himself a chance to offer those things.

Realistically he's not better than Mayfield or Darnold who the panthers didn't see as franchise QBs.

He's performed well enough that we can pass on a qb in a weak QB class.

Ideally we bring in a competitive backup and if we suck then we get someone in 2026.

in other sports, when guys start playing well at the end of the season after being WOAT levels, the general consensus is to wait and see. and there's no QB worth taking in the top 10 to really challenge that so its whatever

the "he has no help" thing is absurd at this point though. one of the best o-lines in the league. his RB put up a great season (for anyone not named henry or barkley) despite having a stacked box every snap and also playing from behind all year. his receivers would be having *much* better stats with another QB too. it took a gun to bryce's head to throw 20 yards until the last few weeks....

just wish people would stop letting the decaying alabama football program run interference for the fact he was simply awful.
