Dripping as in covered and overflowing in finesse.

You're not that much of a hater. Can't be.
You can't be ""IN"" finnese.

You do things WITH finnese.
One SHOWS finnese.
You can HAVE finnese.

Give me a sentence where being "covered in finnese" makes sense.
I'll wait.

You can't be this illiterate.Cant be.

nikkas going against the English language to cape for a pop star highjacking black music.

Actually you can. It's a noun.

:stopitslime:This is stupid and a waste of time. If Bruno Mars is a culture vulture, why don't these fake outrage having, black twitter posting, youtube activists call out Fat Joe, Em, and Drake as well since they have profited from black culture.:camby:

If black people made the music bruno mars makes in 2018, we would diss the hell out of them, this is the truth.

Let that midget eat, this should teach us a lesson to respect the old school pioneers of this shyt. :manny:

The question is would it have even been green lit by the label to even make it to the point of black acceptance or rejection

It's interesting...

When these sorts of conversations are sparked the blame is often laid at the feet of the artist. Doug Morris? Lyor Cohen? Roger Gold? Oddly enough those names never come out of the mouths of the average person with a bone to pick concerning these matters. Michael Jackson & Prince were forced to lean back at one point or another when they bumped heads with the people who really have juice in those quarters. Bruno ,nor anyone else of his elk, are self contained entities. His go ahead comes from above. I think it's also a legit argument that Bruno does his Bobby Brown impressions, admits his music is black influenced and does nothing in the form of introducing black artist to help them eat. The admission in itself seems like all people need to get over it. More white artist should do the same and easy to please people would back off.

There is something to be said about how easily white acts can be repackaged in a state of career uncertainty (miley nick jonas for starters) to appeal to anyone in search of "urban music" These acts have free reign over urban radio the minute the label decides that to be the direction but you practically have to hit a full court shot to make it onto Z100 if you are a black act.

I also think black acceptance comes back to bite you in the ass too. Plenty of people at the cookout who think the koolaid is too sweet

I aint mad a bruno mars, his music is shyt and he rips on black culture, but he is clearly talented.

Yall (nikkas) allowed this fukkery, as well as this fakkit rap from all the lil uzi fakkits and lil opium overdoses, yall are to blame
.

Yall lowered the bar in both rnb, rap, and rocknroll, allowing all these crackers like lil xan, pump, bruno, r.thicke, and Timberlake to come through

Her argument shouldn't be with Bruno per se, but with White people and the industry in general. Can't pin acceptance on Bruno when he's just rocking out.

OP post the full video for context purposes.

Some of the brehs and brehettes actually put things in the correct perspective.

Only reason a culture vulture like Bruno is relevant is because these new blacks have zero pride in being black, running away from it as best they can and clinging to white liberals and non-black minorities as if they weren't complicit beneficiaries of white supremacy. :francis:

The anger here isn’t because Bruno Mars does black music, they’re angry because white people would rather listen to Bruno Mars than your average black R&B artist. Which again comes down to craving white acceptance.

Don’t take out your white acceptance mental illness on Bruno Mars. :mjlol:
But Bruno always admits where he got his whole style from so this kind of stupid. Hes never denied that his style is from Morris Day, Bobby Brown, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. He even went in a magazine and gave all the props to black music.

Black people don't want to be honest with themselves. They let the R&B genre go to shyt and Bruno(an outsider) built his style around the greatest sounds of R&B and now they're salty. Shouldn't of been letting Usher get away with making strip club songs and Chris Brown sing about unloyal hoes. That 80's R&B sound would still be not in use if Bruno wasn't using it so whats the point of being mad about it?

:mjlol: black people are mad because Bruno didn't flop and actually sold records doing music that we don't care about any more?

I thought we loved us some bryson tiller and chris brown :sas1:
We give “passes” out to much, if you ain’t black you can’t eat of the culture pure and simple. We the only ones given other groups access to eat from us.

Props to these brehs/brehetts, and others echoing similar points, for accurately assessing and then suggesting practical solutions to address a past/current/future problem for Black folks

An additional solution, there was another post in this thread that I wanted to quote, but lost track of it, the breh holding his kids accountable about their musical taste while exposing them to the Black creatives that are inspiring today artist

For the last time The way Bruno used it doesn't make sense.
Just because something is a noun doesn't mean it can be on you or you could be in it.
Finnese is something you show,do with or posses.
Like I said if he woulda said "with" it would be fine.
Please Show me a sentence where something is ever "in finesse"
Otherwise conversation over.
