I'm curious, what do the adjacent cities next to South Side and West Side Chicago look like violence wise??
The adjacent cities to South sides and West sides are the suburbs. Some of those suburbs in the West like Oak Park are really decent. Some of the suburbs South of the City are also pretty nice. However a lot of crazy shyt is beginning to happen in the suburbs too, but overall the burbs are still a lot safer than that crazy shyt happening in the City.
Btw, the problem on the West and South sides are a result of the City tearing down those gigantic public housing projects and purposely dispersing the residents of those buildings into neighborhood primarily onto the West and South sides of town. There were a lot of good folks in those projects and I am glad that they are out and able to live good lives, but those projects also had a lot of fukked up violent gangs.

You always had to watch your back...but the gang thing died down in the late 90s is the point im making.

and another buddy of mine got shot at because someone asked what size his Avirex was (common question you got asked before someone tried to take your shyt), and he said "mind your business"....
...buddy got off his porch and started letting off shots...when my guy got on the bus he saw a few bullet holes in his coat that nearly hit him

Truth. Most of the murders back in the day was in around the projects. So by tearing them shyts down there are now less murders overall, because those project gangs are more dispersed; but the shyt is now more random and unpredicatable because regular neighborhoods are now infected by that project mentality. Regular Black folks can not catch a break.

Another suburb of Chicago is Memphis, Tennessee. I swear that a lot of dudes from Chicago used to go to Memphis when they got in trouble in Chicago. Now look at the murder rate in Memphis.
With 60 killings this year, Memphis rate nearly doubles that of Chicago
