Just finished, I'd probably give this a 7/10.

The first half was a little on the boring side, but the second half was extremely faithful to the comic and well-acted. The Bruce/Barbara "sex scene" is overblown and wasn't that serious though. It was just kind of there to give Barbara something to angst about and didn't really detract from the movie otherwise. My bigger concern is that the first half wasn't that exciting and I was just kind of waiting for the Joker to show up.

Still, it was a good movie overall and I'll definitely cop.

Had to log back in for this one.

I really wanted to like it but it was just ehh. For batman to laugh with the joker after all that shyt he pulled was kinda scary. Almost seemed like batman really lost it. The Barbra narration didn't fit with what they were trying to do.

I'd give it a 5.5/10. Didn't live up to the hype. I knew the story coming in but I still expected more. Guess it's my fault

Keep in mind the laugh is from the source material. I always thought it signified the fact Batman realized he was crazy himself. Like the torture wasn't so much to break Gordan as it was to break Batman and for a few seconds it actually did.

Also not sure if the original was suppose to be an Elseworld storyline because if it was I would believe the theory that Bats kills Joker at the end if the goal was this wasn't Cannon.

It was :manny: to me.

Felt like It was two movies smashed together for no reason. The batman and batgirl thing, is still weird to me which I guess is a personal thing. I just dont understand why the whole first part of the movie was even needed. Joker just got out of jail shot her and, that was it. Batman didn't seem to be anymore pissed about her getting shot then he would have had they not had sex or had a physical relationship.

I also thought the part of the movie with the joker would be crazier for some reason. It went so quick that there didn't seem time for Gorden to loose it(which didn't give you time to put yourself in his shoes to think how you react).

Idk if this makes sense its like I felt no emotion the whole movie, in what should have been a pretty fukd up day in the Commish's or Batman's life.

The only real emotion I felt watching this was a feeling of weirdness at the thought batman fukn batgirl. But again that just me.

The final joke sums up Batman's & the Joker's relations overall..... in the beginning of the ACTUAL story (excluding the whole Batman/Batgirl relationship bullshyt), Batman went to the Joker's cell to ask him about his personal concern that one day, they'll eventually kill each other, that there's practically nothing preventing that to happen. However, he HOPED if he can get through the Joker on some olive branch type shyt, one killing the other COULD BE adverted. So when it came to the end, Batman told Joker that maybe they BOTH need some help and together make peace. In response to this, the Joker made the Joke about two lunatics (Batman & Joker) trying to escape and having to walk across this pit with just one flashlight. He poses the question of how could one can TRUST the other if that other is going to turn the flashlight off midway from walking across, alluding to BOTH of them eventually falling down the abyss. In other words, the Joker or Batman would BOTH be willing to change but ONE of them is going to curt the flashlight off halfway through that journey and they'll forever fall. Batman GOT the joke and eventually kills him....that's why it was only HIS laugh at the end. Basically, he was the one metaphorically holding the flashlight.

That's why that joke was called "the KILLING JOKE"
Breh forget all that you have to jump regardless the flashlight beam of light shining a "path" between the two roofs isn't gonna save you :usure:

Even though I agree the 1st half feels tacked on and not apart of the main story, I don't have this visceral hate for it like lot of people.

I loved the Oracle post credits scene. They should have expanded on that and, instead of doing a prologue about Batgirl, done an epilogue about Barbara's recovery and transition to Oracle.
This. I honestly didn't mind the "batsex" or the 30 minute Batgirl opening that a lot of people are complaining about, but I felt it was missing something. I felt that they didn't do a good job of explaining why Barbara wanted to be Batgirl and she gave up crime fighting too easily.

I thought the joke was different. The first guy jumped across. He tells the second guy he can WALK across with a flashlight. Which is impossible.

Instead of the second guy saying the common sense response of "I can't walk across a flashlight idiot" he instead says "what are you crazy, you'll turn the light (bridge) off half way there".
