The only problem with this revamp, rebooting or whatever they call it is that it's completely using if they still won't acknowledge any aspect of NXT or it's accomplishments on the main roster.
I mean

Everyone keeps forgetting Hunter kept saying for years he wanted NXT as a third brandToo much guys were hiding down in NXT because they were not ready for or afraid of being on Raw or Smackdown
Once guys started going back after they flopped on the main Roster( Joe, Finn, Ciampa and Johnny) i knew something was going wrong.....
I respect Ciampa for thugging it out tho and putting Breaker over, as opposed to running to AEW or wherever else will have him....hopefully(probably not) the WWE treats him right for his loyalty
I mean they weren't acknowledging what people did in OVW or FCW either... I didn't see them calling Batista "former OVW champion Leviathan". The only time I'd see them doin that is like when Kevin Owens started coming on Raw and he was still NXT champ. But I'm cool with it being more of a launchpad again, as opposed to the "stay here and just wrestle each other over and over" show. The fact that the Undisputed Era never went all the way up was crazy.
Im so glad im not the only one who remembers this. The real NXT 2.0 was a weird wrestling improv hybrid but had its funny moments (usually involving Maxine/Prime Time Players/Johnny Curtis). It's really the 4th version.
1. Gameshow version.
2. Local Florida TV version that was essentially just FCW with a cleaner arena.
3. WWE.com/WWE Network officially acknowledged brand with their own big events, this goes all the way through October 2021
4. NXT 2.0
I definitely hear and even partially agree that some overstayed their respective welcomes in NXT. However, where are we drawing the line between "flopped," "derailed," and "destined to fail regardless" when it comes to main roster call ups?
For instance, while we were never expecting much from Ascension and aren't surprised at their overall main roster tenure, what are we to conversely make of how AOP was (mis)handled (Ayo, is it true that these nikkas retired and are now working regular jobs?)?

Times are different through and NXT is bigger and more noticeable than OVW and FCW ever was. With social media now, you can't pretend that NXT doesn't exist anymore when you're bringing talent up to the main roster.
That's something that Vince has yet to realize especially with NXT being on the same network as RAW. If that's what he wants to do, then they need to pull it from the network and go back to how it was before, which I would assume that it is the plan once NXT pulls the show because of ratings.
I can tell. That week when they had nikkaz in the ring playing poker…..I knew then.
I hope Vince don’t find out NXT UK exists

They absolutely could but that's not what Vince wants.I don’t understand why they can’t find some young new guy to run NXT
NXT 2.0 actually is showing the real future of WWE.So many people seem to hate the NXT overhaul, but if the idea is going back to developing guys who can go on to be main roster stars, that's cool to me... NXT was becoming a place for indie guys to stay and hang out on the roster for years at a time, which wasn't originally the concept of it. I don't hate the new NXT, they actually do stuff on there that they should do more of on the actual WWE brand shows when it comes to presenting characters. There's people on there with better character development than some dudes on Raw and Smackdown...

I like that every is young and hungry (for the most part)
Also, it will make fresh matchups down the road on the main roster
