"The internal changes to the WWE NXT brand continue."

"Going forward, the NXT creative team will not be operating independently, PWInsider.com has confirmed with multiple sources. Before, under the Paul Levesque regime, the NXT Creative team had been autonomous in nature, operating as a separate bubble within the company. As part of the changes made last week that unraveled that era of NXT with WWE cutting the majority of the team Levesque had assembled over the years while building the NXT brand, that will no longer be the case, at least short term."

"PWInsider.com has learned the NXT Creative team has been informed that for now, they will now fall under the purview of Bruce Prichard and Christine Lubrano, directly reporting and answering to them, consistent to how the Raw and Smackdown Creative Teams each operate. The days of NXT being a separate little pocket within WWE look to be over."

"With the departures of others from the creative team, PWInsider.com has also confirmed that going forward, Johnny Russo will be heading the NXT writing team under Prichard and Lubrano's supervision. Russo joined WWE back in October 2011 and worked on the Raw and Smackdown brand creative teams from 2015-2018 before being promoted to the role of Senior Creative Writer/Producer in August 2018. Russo has been working on the WWE NXT creative side since August 2019 and became NXT Lead Writer in July 2020. Since I know SOMEONE will ask this, he has no relation to Vince Russo."

"Dewey Foley, the son of WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley and Anthony Golden Jr. also remain on NXT Creative, PWInsider.com has confirmed. Foley has been overseeing 205 Live for some time now. Golden Jr. has been with the company since March 2021 and has a theatrical background with a Masters Degrees in acting as well as a Masters in Film and Television Production."

:yeshrug: So many people seem to hate the NXT overhaul, but if the idea is going back to developing guys who can go on to be main roster stars, that's cool to me... NXT was becoming a place for indie guys to stay and hang out on the roster for years at a time, which wasn't originally the concept of it. I don't hate the new NXT, they actually do stuff on there that they should do more of on the actual WWE brand shows when it comes to presenting characters. There's people on there with better character development than some dudes on Raw and Smackdown...

The only thing I don’t understand is why everyone from them to the coli calling this NXT 2.0?

Isn’t technically this 3.0?

This is like the 3rd era of NXT cuz it started out as a reality challenge type game show with occasional wrestling. Hell they even had main roster guys as COACHES to the contestants.

Then they went a way from that and made it an indie type show

Now it is….. whatever it is now.

Just kind of weird to call it 2.0

Man they have GOT to bring BROTHER LOVE back as a recurring character

IDGAF

brother love is a top ten character in wrestling history

I wanna punch him in the face but i'm laughing the whole time. Just the way he snatches the mic every single time. Brother love is the GOAT

The only problem with this revamp, rebooting or whatever they call it is that it's completely using if they still won't acknowledge any aspect of NXT or it's accomplishments on the main roster.

Figures…. That’s what they and the fans always love to do with the E. Forget the bad part of the history to minimize they faults and failures. Then turn and overrate and exaggerate the missteps of everyone else:mjlol:

But they can’t hide this and it was what it was for like the first 5 years:mjgrin:
