Has "The East" been gentrified? Or is it still rough? I heard The East still has a high murder rate. I find that hard to believe.

I haven't heard anything about high murder rates. But I wouldn't know much about the east side. Don't think gentrification has reached broward much like it has in Dade.

Doing Google maps, seems some parts have given way to artsy locales and hispter spots and gay spots. While other parts still look a lil rough. In essence, you right.

It's kinda that area in FTL east of I-95 and North of Sunrise Blvd.
