Like I said in the boxing thread, props to Broner for immediately stepping back into the ring with Chino. Interested in seeing how he responds and what adjustments he'll make (if any at all).

This is a make or break fight for Broner. He can either be Sugar Ray Leonard or Sugar Shane Mosley
The fukk? He can either be a HOF legend or he can be a HOF legend? Broner would be lucky to have the career of either of those fighters.

Box and move. Throw the jab and step back. Keep Chino at a distance. Don't attempt to trade with him, that's just playing to his strength. If he gets aggressive coming in, counter jab/hook and clinch if necessary.

And he's gotta throw combos. Chino admitted to feeling his power in the 1st fight. if he puts his punches together, he could do some damage
Basically do things Broner does not do. He doesn't punch enough to out hustle Maidana and his defense is not good enough to out box him

You're not getting what I'm saying. I'm not saying he'll have the career of either of them. I'm talking as to how the responded after losing their first fights.

Sugar Ray was handed his 1st loss ever by Roberto Duran. He took that loss hard. But he fought Duran again in his next fight and won. And he never looked back.

Shane on the other hand, suffered his first loss to Vernon Forest. Got an immediate rematch and lost again. Those losses took a lot out of him. He had some success afterwards, but he was never really the same afterwards.

Broner could go either route depending on the results

Yeah, I don't get it. Like, people are expecting Broner to come in and fight off the jab, let his hands go, and circle Maidana all night in an immediate rematch. People foresee him fighting like Floyd did against Baldomir when he hurt his hand. I agree that strategy is his best chance of winning, but I don't think it will happen. I don't think Broner is skilled enough to execute it. Moreover, if Broner really opens up, or if he had opened up in the first fight, I think he gets stopped. How many times was he hurt? 4-5? And some of them shyts was just grazing punches.

It's like in Rocky II when :damn: told Apollo that Rocky was all wrong for them and they shouldn't rematch. I think at this point in AB's career, with his current skill level, and his inability to handle Maidana's power, it's a rash decision. I respect the gumption, though. I could see an immediate rematch if it were a Paul Williams/Carlos Quitana situation (bigger more talented man is outboxed and fought by a solid fighter, but not put on queer street repeatedly), but it isn't like that and Maidana beat his ass, thoroughly.

props to broner to wanting to avenge his defeat but I got a gut feeling this is about to be a repeat of martinez-pwill 2, with broner being stretched clean out. just like sergio cracked paul's chin early in the first fight...had him woozy. only for paul to come back strong and turn it into a very entertaining battle. but that first fight took something out of pwill. dude took a lot of punishment, and he came into the rematch vulnerable for that KO. and that's the same feeling I have with broner. dude took a shyt load of punishment. wouldn't be surprised if he's still suffering serious effects from the fight. he might not even be 100% by the time training camp begins. and no way he's gonna correct all those flaws in his defense by fight night...garcia and maidana bout to train heavy for that knockout blow. as we seen in the first fight, broner isn't too hard to fool with them feints....I see him performing better in the first few rounds only walk right into something vicious and it will be goodnight. not even no TKO. straight knocked out.

Newzz.....I'm gonna committ early. I'm riding with you (pause..3..2..1) niqqa. I'm throwing my hat in the "AB gonna get his revenge" ring. Your mans let me down BIG time last month, but I saw a twinkle in his eye during his stinky leg ordeal vs. chino , he has it in him.

:lupe: Or does he?
Broner saw those same twinkles lol

He does have heart though, I'll give him that.

Brolic... Alcoholics
He doesn't have the power at 147 and he's not a good enough counter puncher to keep Chino off of him. I really expect nothing different.

That Punisher/Sergio 2 fight was hard to watch. My boy P Dubb just laid out looking at the ring apron:to:

Chino gonna whoop that trick once again...might even KO him so his Stan's won't have any false hope or delusions to cling to after the loss.
