GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Florida quarterback recruit Jaden Rashada requested a release from his national letter of intent Tuesday night after a $13 million name, imagine and likeness deal fell through, according to multiple reports.

Rashada's future had been in doubt since he failed to enroll at Florida last week, sending signals that something was amiss. He flipped his commitment from Miami to Florida in mid-November and formally signed with the Gators on Dec. 21.

But his arrival in Gainesville was contingent on a four-year, $13 million NIL deal he signed with the Gator Collective, a person familiar with the situation told The Associated Press on condition of anonymity. The Gator Collective is an independent fundraising arm that disburses money to student-athletes in all sports. The financial backing fell through, however -- the Gator Collective terminated the binding agreement -- and left Florida coach Billy Napier to scramble to try to get Rashada to campus.

Sasse needs to clean house by the end of the year. Fire that racist protecting Stricklin and get the Sunbelt Sling Blade off the sideline.

We’re all for players making money, but this is absolutely not a sustainable model moving forward. Rashada is a project based on his physical abilities that might take 2 years before he sees the field for a respectable program. And HE’S getting 13 milli before stepping on the college field? So what would the 3rd year WR who was all conference last year think about some 17 year old walking in with that money without playing a down? He’s gonna want something similar or he’s hitting the portal. And how do you keep up with this for the next cycle of recruits?

Yea this shyt gonna have to get restructured because recruits was getting more than accomplished players on the team. I got fam on a team now and he was an all american, before season he wasnt really known so he had a couple small deals largest being like 70k and a car deal. Cool. But they was offering 5 star recruits 150k+.. He ended up being all american and then they renegotiated around 250k now but you can see how there can be issues.
