Britain was rich when it colonized and enslaved much of the world.
WW1 and WW2 ended that.
The EU allowed them to pretend for a while.
Now they're basically a small island nation.

I agree, but remain ran a pretty shytty campaign as nobody ever thought that the turkeys would really vote for Christmas, no matter how intelligence-deficient they were. Corbyn was probably the worst possible leader of opposition that the UK could have had at the time, too.

As a Brit living abroad, it was like watching a slow-developing, multi-car, pile-up. It will fukk the country for decades.

The article is so quick to brush over Brexit & Ukraine that it invalidates any other points that it might make Such that it is almost worthless.

because the cheap money is the root cause of the inflation and lowering of living standards.

in fact it IS the inflation and is only being felt now that that money has hit main street.
