Wishful thinking

Not wishful thinking

It's reality.

The trend towards de-dollarization is rapid, and in our lifetime perhaps 10-20 years the US will be just one of several major world currencies.

This means that there will be constraints on US spending, especially military.

The US cannot afford disasters like Iraq and Afghanistan, and the massive corruption in the millitary industrial complex will run out of juice.

The US will not be able to afford its empire.
It will remain the premier millitary power in the world for a while longer, I dont think Trump can fukkup any worse than Dubya to be honest. One of the only things he's been consistent on has been against nation building and he talks correctly about $6 Trillion spent since 2001.

I've been reading the same stuff for decades.

Now that we have a brave president that isn't afraid to colonize and appropriate natural resources all bets are off.

Britain and America are helping Saudis bomb/invade Yemen.

Britain and America are helping the Turks encroach further into Turkey.

Britain and America are bombing Libya, Somalia and Iraq.

You're going to take the word of a man who said "we should take their oil" and the UK Tories who are imperialists like 'New Labour'?

@FAH1223 honestly there's a better chance of Greater Israel existing than the US and UK never invading a country again.

The days of Britain and America intervening in sovereign countries in an attempt to remake the world in our own image are over.

She's right about the days of Britain being able to do that shyt are over. The USA on the other hand...

Mrs May made clear that a stronger alliance between Britain and America can ensure that the two countries are able to compete with Asian economies like China and India.

no the fukk it won't. Brits talking about re-engage the commonwealth.. from an worsening position of weakness and the usa just used a shotgun on it's self :pachaha:

She made clear that Britain and America will now forge a new Special Relationship which will ensure that the rise of Asian economies like China and India does not lead to an “eclipse of the West”.

Does not lead to...

She's decades too late to be saying that shyt. The sun set quite some time on the west.

Promising not to literally invade countries doesn't cut it. Our worst foreign policy moves were often accomplished with no invasion, and oftentimes we made those moves because we put "America First," just like Trump wants to do. We put the Shah of Iran back in power to protect our oil interests. We overthrew the president of Guatemala after he cut into United Fruit's bottom line.

Now we're bullying our third-world neighbor into paying for a multi-billion dollar wall. We have a president who floats the possibility of taking Iraq's oil [somehow].

But thank god we're not literally invading anyone. :heh:

This is how low the bar is.

“I mean, torture is real torture, OK? Waterboarding is – I'm sure it's not pleasant, but waterboarding was just short of torture,” he said in an interview with Fox News' Sean Hannity. “When – you know, all of a sudden, they made it torture.”

“I spoke with people the other day who are in this world that were talking about it. Absolutely, it works. Absolutely," he said.

Trump: Waterboarding isn't torture

I feel like this is the sort of person who would invade a country tbh.

Foreign Policy and Defeating ISIS

Read Donald J. Trump’s Plan to Make America Safe and Respected Again, here.
  • Work with our Arab allies and friends in the Middle East in the fight against ISIS.
  • Pursue aggressive joint and coalition military operations to crush and destroy ISIS, international cooperation to cutoff their funding, expand intelligence sharing, and cyberwarfare to disrupt and disable their propaganda and recruiting.

I feel like that might involve invasion at some point. :hmm:

I was actually just thinking to myself it's a good thing Iraq/Obama didn't extend our deadline because if Trump got into office we may have never left.

Here's another gem from the website:

  • Defeat the ideology of radical Islamic terrorism just as we won the Cold War.

Hey, remember that time we won the Cold War WITHOUT invading a single country? :troll:

Except Korea. And Vietnam. And the Dominican Republic. And Laos. And Grenada. And Panama. :troll:

It was glorious! Not a live lost or a penny squandered in those days.
