Haven't been around that part of the city in years.
If Georgia King area is gentrified, then it's really a big sign.

Do you remember when Upsala in East Orange closed down?

I remember reading articles about how it happened and was amazed that a college would or could close down.

I put up articles in root and locker room sections about the problems that HBCU Cheyney U. is going through.

Again, it boggles my mind that a university could close down, or in Cheyney's case lose accreditation.

SR year took a football visit to Upsala, wound up going to Jersey City State College. Upsala parties used to be banging. as well as Kean and Montclair St.

Irvington gully as fukk. I am usually at The Paradizio Club with my peeps who does security there.I think its closed down. Its a hole in the wall strip club where anything goes.

ninja, paradizio(sp) and world paradise in irvington were my favs... so was the brown derby in elizabeth. which was the one on lyons ave? I dj'd once there, sad i thinks its a poppa johns now.
we used to walk from hillside to paradizo and world paradise, lace up the timbs and crunch through the snow.. of course had to hit up chancellor liquors first
