If you think you're lonely now, ohhh girl...
Man, everything you said is gospel. I’m fortunate to have the family I have. They made sure they gave me and my siblings every support network possible to make it into adulthood.

It may be more of a class thing than race but when I started hanging out with rich kids, the difference between them and the people in the hood was opportunity. Their parents, even the ones that came to the country with nothing, made sure they had every chance to exceed: trust funds, saved up money for their first home, college etc.

Now of course there were those that already had rich families, but for those who started off broke, they made sure their values when it came to finances were in the right place.

Chris Rock has a good joke:

“When you’re young, you’re mommy’s little boy. When you turn 18, you become that nikka around the house. Why haven’t you found a job yet.”

shyt is sad but accurate.

It really boggles the mind. It’s crazy how people talk about white supremacy this and that, but don’t try to give their kids EVERY tool they can to battle the shyt. We think we just gotta keep our kids alive to 18, and they should be good. :snoop:

His sons sound like bums.

Multiple opportunities and you dont grab them. So instead you burn bridges with your father.

Shows how smart they are.

I was just talking to my friends, and all of us made it to be professionals: doctors, lawyers, finance (myself)... and we all came from a poor neighbourhood. A lot of our other boys didn’t make it... either dead or in jail.

I truly believe it comes down to parenting and how much you choose to invest in your children. My parents gave me a tutor, books to read, took me to museums etc. I just took that for granted until I found out how other children around me just had the TV raising them.

I don’t think I can ever fully repay my parents back. Even though they don’t need my money, I make sure I can make their life easier in anyway.

And then you see parents who either try and push their children out of the front door, the moment they turn 18 with no tools for survival. Or they baby them into their 30s, and they end up having zero work ethic.

Actually you paraphrased Chris Tucker’s debut on Def Comedy Jam.

I'm sure Brian made good money throughout his career, but this guy does not have Dr. Dre/Diddy money. It's only so long that you can fund two adults that may very well have or will have their own families, which would drain his pockets even more. Imagine potentially supporting 3 families (his and his two sons)?

2 years rent free
$18 a hour (with the option to go back to school)
& they inherited their fathers ability to sing

There's people out here that have nothing with no resources. However, his boys wouldn't know about that life.

That part about his daughter should have never been said. Reveals his true character. Don't know how he truly feels about his bio sons but he proved that he gives no fukks about his daughter at all. I don't know about any of you but if I had a child and she was being molested by an older cousin, I would do more than just make a phone call and abandon her. It also seems like he had a somewhat decent relationship with at least one of his sons prior to his marriage to his new wife. Pretty sure there is a lot more to the story than this. The fact that he aired his daughter's business out like that will more than likely result in some sort of backlash. Wouldn't be surprised if the whole family gangs up on him on social media soon.

When he took a shot at the mother, I got the impression she was just a woman that he met on the road and they had a kid. He probably never even had the connection with her that he did have with his 2 boys. As a result, he really had no problem airing out a kid that he has no connection to.

Once again, you can think your raising your child right and you're not

most people do not spend enough time with their kids this is a fact

most people do not know how to be mentors or a set an example for their children this is a fact

If your kids are disrespecting you IT IS YOUR FAULT

How you gonna ROFL with a hollow back?
As he said in the video the daughter is 17, and the situation happened several years ago when she was even younger probably 14. Children make mistakes, so her post is understandable. There's no excuse for a 50 yo man exposing that information. He didn't even know if it was true. He basically said that his daughter was being molested and that he abandoned her. Disgusting. Now his sons are entitled garbage.
Yep, whether anyone feels it’s justifiable or not, rightfully, there are a lot of laws and things that are in place to protect/shield identities of yours people, however vague they (the victim) want to be on social media, it doesn’t give you the right to talk about the victim in regards to it, no matter who you are. Brian prolly just lost any and all money he may have acquired in his lifetime, if the daughter wants to pursue litigation, and he gonna have them RAAIN problems, too. He should have shown some adult restraint, especially with that, I don’t see how this story doesn’t get legs.
