I am untethered and my rage knows no bounds!
Moved to a smaller city...
Commuting to the bigger city or just out of the area altogether?

I did it when I was in the states, too...was in DC, moved to MoCo, then PG...Worked in DC, went to school in MoCO, lived in PG.
Lived in Miami...moved to WPB...
I lived in Toronto...then moved to a smaller area...now I'm in medium sized montreal.
If you want to do a lot of regular 9-5 things, have your paperwork right...I'm not that type of dude and I get it on my own + use connects so it's different for me. As far as people, places and things, I don't drink at all, but I used to go out a decent amount when I first got up here...people are way less expressive and "wild"...more polite in certain ways, and they say "sorry"/SOREY" instead of "excuse me". Snarky, indirect humor as well.Damn how is Canada breh? Any major obstacles?
What's gentrification like there? I heard its ridiculously expensive in Toronto
They will come back with health code violations, lawsuits for excessive smoke (https://austin.eater.com/2015/7/30/9074229/terry-blacks-barbecue-sued-smoke-lawsuit) or mysterious fire....
The rabbit hole runs deep
Just last week, the owner of Sam's BBQ, Brian Mays, was offered a hefty sum to sell his place. Mays says someone offered him $3.5 million, but he decided to turn it down
Why not take the millions and move to a Black area ?
That WAS a black area.
They gentrified it. And wherever nice black area he moves to, they'll gentrify that eventually. And eventually, you're gonna run out of money or places to move and you're gonna be stuck.
The only way to stop this type of thing is to actively resist and fight back politically with community backing.
