If your a black man who is offered a head coaching job or an executive title.....do you even want it? Knowing that you weren't the first choice, and that your hire is solely a PR stunt? It puts a lot of minority candidates in an uncomfortable place.

yes because you can gain some valuable experience and use that for your next gig.

The next gig thing is a big if.

The experience is valuable, but more often than not its gonna be a short stint unless you make a deep playoff run/deliver a SB title. The few that have been hired in recent years are thrust into terribly impossible situations with expectations to deliver. A coach I genuinely felt for was Hue Jackson......got an 8-8 season out of a shyt Raiders team, wasn't retained.....his next chance was with Cleveland we all know how that turned out.

This might or not be a shortcoming of the Rooney rule.

If you already know what you want, an interview with another man isn't going to change that. I mean these are famous people not unknown people interviewing for an ordinary job. So anytime a white man already sealed the deal, a minority will get finessed

There no "next gig" until a cac GM puts together a shyt roster with an ageing QB and then they eill give that black man the job to tank his first few years until they finally draft decent talent and let him go for "not winning".

Yall act like Jay-Z went against Black society. I could see if there was a national legit boycott but it wasnt. NOBODY backed Kap but Jay was supposed to hold the line :camby:

It is a story that has many layers. I'm glad Flores filed the lawsuit but I have more questions than answers.

Allegedly Flores has interviews scheduled this week, so what happens with that? IF he gets offered a job now will he feels it is only because of the lawsuit and take decline it?

I would hope Flores will fall on the sword and go thru with the lawsuit and expose the NFL for the racist ass practices, Beli did throw the alley hoop.

Now the other side of it is there have been several posts in here with posters pointing out that Flores was Anti kneeling and things of that nature but things can be mutually exclusive. This is for the greater good, and this is for the coaches that came before flores as well..

Also I'm sure Marcellis Wiley big c00n ass will talk down on this lawsuit because he's basically Jason Whitlock JR now, because he made comments a few weeks ago that black coaches have got second shots at coaching in the NFL but most of them are not getting Franchise worthy QB's and because of that they flame out but he didn't mention that.
