People will not sit idly for this, especially as things begin to spiral and they realize that the Parliament is not doing it's job. This is going to backfire on the tories because the tories do not understand the electorate at large, which is why such an overwhelmingly statistical anomaly happened last GE in terms of turnout from underrepresented groups. And is likely to do so again if they continue to play fast and loose with how they "govern".

Every estimate I've seen is in the event of a no deal Brexit it will be 3 weeks until there are shortages on basic goods and services. They're gambling that they can pull off this 'masterstroke' not only with no internal dissention (which isn't happening) no fighting against them by Farage (which isn't happening, Farage and Johnson hate one another), and within a timeframe of 5 weeks to avoid the literal cessation of sales of fukking toilet paper.

This will go poorly for the Conservatives. Exceptionally so. Boris has overplayed his hand, what he should have done is everything in his power to force through some kind of deal, it doesn't matter what kind, just anything the EU would take. That neuters the Labour, Libs, and Brexit fangs. It was his only real play and his missed his window and is gambling on his new stance being able to shore up his right flank against Farage, he's betting wrong.

I saw this comment on YouTube about Corbyn. What are your thoughts? @Fenian @Trajan

He is the leader of the opposition it is his job to find a way to walk that line and come out on top. If he struggles with a way to articulate his views in relation to his party & membership and work out those issues internally, then he is going to struggle to build coalitions to implement his policy. My criticism is this - where has he been? where has he been campaigning? What has he been saying? - where the hell is his presence anywhere since 2017? Now compare that to Keir Starmer who has presence and authority as well as a consistent position on Brexit. Back in 2015 when I joined the party to vote him in, Corbyn was doing rallies everywhere and energising support but it tailed off, the same happened in 2017 when the snap general saw him out campaigning - again he energised the support but after it tailed off... You'd think Corbyn and his advisers would realise that his strength lies in campaigning and rallies in that populist spirit and capitalise on it but instead he's doing what exactly? I'm making the point that too much credit has been given to Corbyn here without realising he's failing. He will be gone after the next general if he fails (as he's projected to) and along with it the socialists within the Labour party will be derided and driven back out of the party and will be framed as a failed ideology that was incapable of bringing down the weakest governments in the history of the UK. It will become a laughing stock and the Blairites will likely be back in full force to rig the party back into their favour and keep the socialists out for good.
