"Boris Johnson has vowed to end austerity and borrow the billions of pounds needed to fund his spending commitments as he was elected the new leader of the Conservative Party.
Mr Johnson today secured a crushing victory over his leadership rival Jeremy Hunt and will be installed as Theresa May's replacement as prime minister tomorrow.
He is determined not to repeat the mistakes of Mrs May's premiership and he is adamant that his time in Number 10 will not be defined solely by Brexit.
As a result he is planning to hit the ground running with a series of domestic policy announcements addressing some of the difficult issues which Mrs May failed to make much progress on.
They could include a new insurance system for social care, increased schools funding and tax cuts for higher earners. "
Boris Johnson: Next Prime Minister vows to end austerity by borrowing to fund £26bn pledges | Daily Mail Online
Following Trump's model. Buying the rich off.
He was made PM with only 90,000 votes?
It was only the Conservative Pary membership selecting the new leader of the party. Since they are in the ruling coalition, he becomes the PM since May resigned her post as leader of the party and PM.
So Johnson has no electoral mandate. And the polls show the Conservatives would lose their majority in a general election since they're losing support to the Brexit Party.
Trump model included cutting education
Euro conservatives are nothing like Americans.
here.
I realize that but less than 200,000 voted between Johnson and Hunt. How is that possible
Trump has his base but to win he has to win over a few other small groups.
The tax cuts moved more of the rich onside.
The abortion changes moved more of the evangelicals onside.
Those tax cuts create a temporary blip in the economy which can be leveraged to advantage for a 2nd term.
The UK is entering recession or very close to it. A temporary blip in the economy will benefit Boris in buying off the rich and helping him in an election contest.
Added factors which make the Rich a group to focus on.
The Rich control and mold the opinions and activities of many lower down in society.
They tend to be divorced from the harsh realities of life.
They can back you financially.
People (as the adage goes) vote with their pockets.
EDIT: As I pointed out previously. Ideologically (populism, anti lassie-faire, race) they are on the same team this time.

Like I said show one policy where Trump has made references to increased spending in schools and social care insurance ...
