So no matter what they fantasised, Brexit will be nothing like they imagined even before it has been realized.

And it immediately makes the country poorer and less competitive.

A full Brexit which tosses out the new EU arrivals (plus some others) would be the best option for the UK breh.

But that would only work if the UK became more forward thinking and results driven, in order to give more people a chance and to compete on the world stage.

The UK cannot become a new "Norway", "Switzerland" or "Korea" (etc) at present because of relatively low skills and productivity, and low quality / standards in manufacturing.

A whole bunch of voters were scammed by the Leave campaign making the claim they'd pump £350million per week into the NHS . . GDP is an immensely flawed measurement, however, the broad point IMO to draw here can't be stated enough. Decades of extremely harsh austerity and the UK government actively warring against the working class has created a perfect cauldron of potential political unrest and mass upheaval. The countryside is bleeding to death and they want to open the wound even farther.

Brexit doesn't do anything to stave off the collapse of the country outside London because for that to happen the UK government needs to be amenable to that. And unless Labour is in power they've shown nothing to point out this as being the case.
