Britons living in Spain barred from Madrid flight in post-Brexit travel row

British residents flying home to Spain were prevented from boarding a joint BA/Iberia flight to Madrid on Saturday night after airline staff said their pre-Brexit residency papers were no longer valid.

A total of nine people weren’t allowed to board at Heathrow, among them journalist and photographer Max Duncan, who was told his green residency paper was no longer valid, even though both the Spanish and British governments have said both the old Foreign National Identification (NIE) document and the new Foreign ID Card (TIE) remain valid.

You argument actually isn't accurate. A remembrance of history doesn't need to be lived. Otherwise the confederate flag in the US would have been phased out a long time ago.

Memories and nostalgia last.

That said, you are right when you say that they will suffer, everyone will, even the ones who voted against it.
yer but there's still a massive difference between living through something and receiving passed down information whether that be through words, text and/or culture...and in your original post you said "they remember that time fondly" as if these old cacs had lived through something different back in the day, which is not true at all. don't pretend you wasn't going with that angle, that's all I was correcting.

I actually feel for the fishermen, cause I believe they were being fukked over innthe EU and now Brexit will make it worse.

I can actually understand why they would have been swayed by Boris' lies.

Sad.

nah fucc em :pachaha:they deserve all that they're getting...they were warned in multiple different ways for a number of years. As my carrib elders would always tell me as a yout "if you cyan hear you muss feel"

Plus. they voted in favour of brexit purely for selfish reasons rather than for the betterment of the UK, it's only right they experience a punishment purely specific to them :blessed:

They were lucky to be a member of the EU

It's a balancing act IMO. Anglo-Saxon excess sometimes needs the brake of the slower (and more [in-group]) egalitarian mainlanders.

On the other hand, and of particular interest to brehdom, Anglos don't live by the same strict ethnic loyalties.

It's tough out here :francis:

The Sunday Sport has the most hilarious headlines and stories.

I fell for it, but at the same time I am sure that because of BREXIT now, you have delivery drivers with increased delays in deliveries. My coworker lived in Hawaii, and while it is a state, Hawaii in sense had a ton of stuff coming through ports and like even when it was State to State, there were annoying delays.

So now with this, like with the Eel dude, you have people that have to fill out paperwork, which delays people behind them and such.
