what's this nonsense about only being able to trade in the EU though? what was stopping him from trading with "white russia", hong kong and anywhere else that wanted that garbage?
Missed this. From what I know, it's all bullshyt. You can trade under WTO rules with these countries. He was free to try to find a market outside of the EU for his eels.

Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

In private you think Boris is thanking Jesus who walked the Isles per William Blake that Biden is taking over so the Tories can quietly start limiting some of the damage? Or have they pretty much given up and decided all they can do is cash out their Russian options in Swiss accounts before the whole thing goes to the next stage of street assassins and riots? :snoop:

U.K gonna get sonned in trade negotiations no matter what but to a lesser degree with biden in office. U.S corporations influencing policy are not gonna let an opportunity like this go to waste, they'll slip in some stuff that were previously unacceptable in any E.U trade negotiations and Boris will have to accept it.

The latter. The government is going to have to make harsh decisions to survive Brexit, and no one is going to be happy.

They would give their left arm for an exclusive US trade deal, and it was unlikely despite Trump's bluster, and less likely with Biden.
If they go through with that NHS deal.....

The NHS has already been in negotiations.

Expect drugs prices to go up and coverage to end.

It would be sad and disgusting if Brexit brought us in line with US heathcare robbery.

:patrice:I've been thinking a bit. I haven't followed Brexit, though I understand parts of it but knowing as well as how this shyt is going to have repercussions. Something I just realized now, is that in the States we've been the punching bag because of Trump while in the background Boris was trying to find win in this.

Now with Trump out of office and Biden in, the World won't be looking at us everyday for another blunder, another fukkup, another tweet from Trump. They will probably start looking at Brexit more.

I feel for the younger generation, but I don't feel sympathy for the old folks who voted for it and are now regretting it.

Dude with the Eel Farm bout to lose his life's work, but he was just one of the folks who bought into the con.

I dont think people like him bought into the con. That would imply they approached this with doe eyes, and were tricked by the big bad men.

I firmly believe that people like this approached Brexit with their latent prejudices against immigrants and longing for the days of Empire, when Britain was THE formidable superpower.

That's why old cacs went for it. They remember that time fondly. Younger people have no such illusions.

So that bias allowed them to make decisions against their best interests.

Nostalgia is a hell of a drug, but it's a dangerous drug when you don't wield the power you once had.

The little Englanders that voted for Brexit will see none of the wins but will suffer inconveniences like the residents in Dover, the idiots in Spain who can't watch Sky etc

There will be so many little wars lost in their day to day lives while they see no benefits of leaving the EU :heh:

Wait until covid is over and they want to fly to Spain and get stuck in the airport for hours :banderas:

False. There isn't a living English working class that remembers a time when England was numero uno...remember 1940 was 80 years ago and WW2 was the propa propa global power reset button. Most of these old cacs fuccin up the country where in their heyday during thatcherism...so they should know better.

They just racist xenophobic pseudocolonialist dumbass cacs and they deserve every pain coming to them

You argument actually isn't accurate. A remembrance of history doesn't need to be lived. Otherwise the confederate flag in the US would have been phased out a long time ago.

Memories and nostalgia last.

That said, you are right when you say that they will suffer, everyone will, even the ones who voted against it.
