Kyrie not only contributed to vaccine hesitancy, as one of the most well known NBA players, but in touting a documentary mentioning The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, which is touted by Nazis, and indeed children and Nazis Germany were taught by it. It is a fabricated work meant to inspire hostility towards Jews.

Blacks were dying at a far disproportionate rate to other groups. Anything contributing to this (such as a high profile black athlete sewing vaccine doubts) potentially contributed to real world harm for black people.

The uncounted: People of color are dying at much higher rates than what COVID data suggests

The true toll of the COVID-19 pandemic on many communities of color is worse than previously known.
