I did lol

It worked best for me...but I went through the process for 4 months before doing so so some were matted already.
That’s interesting. I’ve seen some ppl grow their hair for 12-18 months, then instantly have length with their locs

It doesn’t seem like a bad look lol

Why rush into twists, if this going to be the inception of your journey grow your hair until it’s long and thick (pause) before you start doing anything to it.

Go through the process.

Bout to start my loc journey, got a few questions and concerns though

When I have two strand twists, I find them hard to keep up with because I sweat em out while working out etc. Should I be worried with my starter locs that they’ll unravel if I’m working out and sweat em out?

My mans told me essentially what I’ll have to do is get 2 strand twists and keep retwisting em until the loc, sounds hard as shyt tho cuz when I have 2 strands they only last for a couple of days

I’ll take any advice this is completely new to me

Workout with a silk durag on.
Try to pat your scalp dry with a small dry cloth.

I did 2 strand twist about a year ago, locd about 6-7 months later. They'll unravel but go to a loctitian once a month to get washed up and redone right. Don't just leave the starting phase up to chance.

Don’t use beeswax or any products with Paraffin in it, the build up will never come out. Also If could do it over I would have started my locs about he width of a pencil because some will thin with length .
