Are we supposed to accept that Bigfoot is some sort of special fighter? Guess what Arlovski just knocked out Bigfoot 2 months ago. Arlovski for LHW champ.Cormier knocked out Bigfoot Silva... Cormier is not overmatched in this fight. He's gunning for that belt and is gonna test Jones' chin and BJJ off his back

If it wasn't for that dumb ass DQ against Matt Hamil, he would tie Anderson's record for most consecutive wins in the UFC with a victory over cormier, and will be 3 more title defensives away from breaking his record, all while being undefeated he's the youngest UFC champion in history
He also seems to have a weakness against leg kicks. However, on the flip side, Jones doesn't seem to fight well off of the backfoot.Re-watched some of DC's earlier fights and noticed he has some weird looping hooks where he over extends drastically. Like when he fought Nelson he had this leaping hook which someone like Jones could easily exploit. I don't even know who I want to win. Watching Jones fight is amazing but he's kind of a prick who's trying to give off that friendly vibe, whereas Cormier is just the type of driven dude that could grind his way to a well deserved win.
fukk man I almost feel like I'm complaining about how awesome these matchups are.
What about Aldo?If it wasn't for that dumb ass DQ against Matt Hamil, he would tie Anderson's record for most consecutive wins in the UFC with a victory over cormier, and will be 3 more title defensives away from breaking his record, all while being undefeated he's the youngest UFC champion in history
I'm hoping DC catches Jones' leg kicks and gets many many takedowns. But not leg humping though, we all saw what happened to Hendricks :mjplease:He also seems to have a weakness against leg kicks. However, on the flip side, Jones doesn't seem to fight well off of the backfoot.
Not taking the obvious deoderant fail on Cormier's part too seriously, is it me or does Jones look absolutely gargantuan compared to his opponent in this pic? The stains under dude's shirt makes his task look that much more formidable. Like he just got himself into some sh!t. He's already portly, but Jones still makes him look like a little dude. Which has me wondering, what's Jones walking around at? No wonder he was considering a move up to heavyweight when the time was right. No wonder the whole stage came apart when they got into it. He reminds me of the giants in 300. Article is kind of funny too, Jones was Hulk Smashing on townies in Iowa.

We got into a lot of trouble," Covington said. "When you're in a small town in Iowa, a lot of kids are farm kids and they always wanted to start some stuff with the wrestlers and I was a national champ in college and Jon was a national champ, so they'd always try to pick fights at our house parties and stuff. We would just clear out the place of a bunch of townies."
"Especially Jon -- he'd be throwing people through windows and stuff. It was nuts. He has a bad temper, when he gets mad -- he gets mad."
Apparently Jones didn't follow the No. 1 rule of being a good bouncer -- you have to be nice. We just hope the windows were open at the time.
bigfoot is a slow footed stiffCormier knocked out Bigfoot Silva... Cormier is not overmatched in this fight. He's gunning for that belt and is gonna test Jones' chin and BJJ off his back
Cormier looks like a bad fighter. So I slept on him until he completely dominated Bigfoot and Josh Barnett. So I don't doubt the dude anymore.
Both of these guys are UNDEFEATED. Bones has destroyed all in front of him except Gus. Cormier walked through the HW division.
I can't really bet against either of these guys. My heart's with Cormier. He's more of a regular guy working hard. And Bones has a weirdo personality.
Cormier also trains with Cain Velasquez. They spar regularly. He's already beat HUGE guys. He's used to the reach disadvantage. Bones is uncomfortable with people that know how to neutralize his reach advantage (Gus). I think Bones is going to be shocked and will get TKO from pressure of Cormier being all up in his grill.
gus is 6'5, cormier is barely 5'11
Right, I meant Cormier is used to a reach disadvantage. Look at how he manhandled Bigfoot and Barnett. Huge guys.
Bones loves his reach advantage. He fights at a distance. If Cormier can do what he did to Bigfoot and Barnett, Bones will be very uncomfortable with fighting someone that he cannot use his reach advantage against. Gus was able to match his reach. Cormier will try to pin Bones against the cage with pressure. It's a new situation for him.
you nuts, your comparing the best fighter in the world to slow footed non athletic guys like bigfoot and barnett. cormier had the speed advantage against those guys and guess what hes a better athlete then those guys as well. he will have neither vs jones, jones uses his reach better then anybody in the history of mma
cormier will have to take all the risks in this fight because jones will just pick him apart from distance
cormier has never been in this situation before
