I actually think its the other way around and Jones is gonna have his hands full

Cormier belongs in the damn heavyweight division

It wouldn't surprise me at all if he knocks Jones out or dominates him for 5 rounds

Re-watched some of DC's earlier fights and noticed he has some weird looping hooks where he over extends drastically. Like when he fought Nelson he had this leaping hook which someone like Jones could easily exploit. I don't even know who I want to win. Watching Jones fight is amazing but he's kind of a prick who's trying to give off that friendly vibe, whereas Cormier is just the type of driven dude that could grind his way to a well deserved win.
fukk man I almost feel like I'm complaining about how awesome these matchups are.

Cormier looks like a bad fighter. So I slept on him until he completely dominated Bigfoot and Josh Barnett. So I don't doubt the dude anymore.

Both of these guys are UNDEFEATED. Bones has destroyed all in front of him except Gus. Cormier walked through the HW division.

I can't really bet against either of these guys. My heart's with Cormier. He's more of a regular guy working hard. And Bones has a weirdo personality.

Cormier also trains with Cain Velasquez. They spar regularly. He's already beat HUGE guys. He's used to the reach disadvantage. Bones is uncomfortable with people that know how to neutralize his reach advantage (Gus). I think Bones is going to be shocked and will get TKO from pressure of Cormier being all up in his grill.

I think DC's wrestling will help negate that reach. Let's not forget Bones likes to do a lot of clinch work, and if he tries that against DC it might get ugly.

Cormier knocked out Bigfoot Silva... Cormier is not overmatched in this fight. He's gunning for that belt and is gonna test Jones' chin and BJJ off his back :sas2:

I think Jones will be just as focused if not more. Cormier is "supposed" to maul Jones, so as defending champ Jones is like fukk dat. Definitely prepared for it. This actually presents an opportunity for Cormier to switch it up and fight differently on fight night. I don't think it will matter much though, soon as Cormier is even within distance to pose a threat, he'll be right in Jones' range to drop bionic elbows.

if jones win this he's the greatest of all time, cormier's biggest disadvantage is his age, he got into MMA to late in life he could've been something great in his physical prime, but he is mentally the strongest fighter jones will ever face, cormier won't doubt himself or go into survival model like gus did

Which is a great accomplishment, I'm not minimizing that but greatest ever is a bit much. Not just yet.

If it wasn't for that dumb ass DQ against Matt Hamil, he would tie Anderson's record for most consecutive wins in the UFC with a victory over cormier, and will be 3 more title defensives away from breaking his record, all while being undefeated he's the youngest UFC champion in history
