It's an online publication. The way you show outrage is by tweeting/emailing, etc. It isn't ABC or NBC.

If no one tweeted them about it they'd think the joke was alright.

Tweeting/emailing and giving them publicity in the process. I mean, should someone be fired? Sure, why not. But the problem is... most of the folks who are mad don't even read the Onion like that.

I'm just tired of seeing these "activists" get angry every time something like this happens but have no desire to do shyt about real life kids going through shyt.

i was offended at first, but then the context was revealed to me and i actually think it was a great joke.

at first i thought they were taking a shot at her, and who could be cool with that? no one.

but apparently they were satirising how twitter is basically this cynical place where everyone just snark tweets everything, even the most innocent ish. what could be more innocent than that kid? risque no doubt, but i kinda get it.

They have said worse over the years.

It's not funny but the joke wasn't race related. I remember them going at Dakota Fanning and Haley Joel Oslett (sp?) and other child actors in the past.

It's just not funny but nothing to get upset over, and the joke was to point out how sweet and cute she is.

People who took this racially or are trying to make an outrage over this are the c*nts, IMO.
