The Original Star Wars, Lord of the Rings and Toy Story are the only Perfect Trilogies. Every other trilogy has flaws. For Action Films I'd give Die hard 1-3, Leathal Weapon 1-3 and Bourne 1-3 the nods.

Breh are you kidding me? Those are dope flicks and I shytted on ONE movie in both of those trilogies. You going to sit there and tell me with a straight face that the matrix revolutions is a good flick or on par with the two previous movies? And then proceed to tell me that dark knight rises is on the same level of batman begins or the dark knight? I don't believe that and you don't believe it yourself
knight rises wasnt as good as the others but lets be cereal that was still a good movie :comeon:

Meh I got my issues with it. And even if I said "it's a good movie" I would still call it the weak end of a trilogy thus eliminating it from being the perfect trilogy. Most of my issues with Dark Knight Rises deal with character stuff and a couple times where Chris Nolan eschews his own logic in the world he created

from a film making stand point
the back to the future movies are the only ones they film like you're watching a continuation of the same movie
everything is the same with all 3 where as in star wars and the other trilogies, every movie feels different and has time gaps, where as the back to future's continue where the last one left off at

lord of rings I can't even watch that shyt all the way through to comment
3 four and half movies just for the lil nikka throw a ring in a volcano, shyt gotta be the most overrated franchise ever

bourne and lotr were great

This right here. Leave it to my T.O. breh to bring that heat :blessed:

That Bourne trilogy was perfection to me. Not a drop off in any flick. May also have helped that I watched 1 and 2 right before seeing 3 on premiere night, so I might be jaded :pachaha:

The bourne trilogy is my favorite trilogy

the 3rd movie might even be the best of the bunch :whoo:

That opening in the 3rd was just :wow:

yep bourne are great movies, the plot, the action, the car chases, the different sceneries. I wish matt damon will bless out with a few more.

Bourne trilogy and Lotr trilogy are the only trilogies i can watch all 3 in a row on a satuday and ive done it before :wow:

Yep...the only flawless trilogy IMO :lawd:

Yup.

Most people rank The Good, The Bad and The Ugly as the best of the bunch....but I prefer For A Few Dollars More. One of my 20 or so favorite films ever.

But yeah....all are great movies (even though A Fistful of Dollars is damn near a frame-by-frame copycat of Kurosawa's 'Yojimbo')

Also, and I doubt there are a lot of people on this site who have seen them, but Krzysztof Kieślowski's "Three Colors" trilogy, is fukking brilliant as well.
