Nah breh, those crazy ass sales happen quickly on the PC. Arkham City was already down to $12At least the other guys were mentioning reasonable prices with the 400-500 buck PCs, but you jumped in here with 1000. Im not paying 1000 bucks to save a little bit on some super old games. And even then, the prices you mentioned for the games arent even a deal because Mass Effect 2 was on sale for 5 bucks very recently on the consoles as well, and right now the game is actually more expensive on Steam than it is on consoles. A game like Kingdoms of Amalur is 15 bucks more expensive on Steam right now.
If you only buy old games during Steam sales then yeah you can save but you can also save a lot if you wait on the consoles. The only PC games im interested in are the indie titles and i can play those on my laptop.

but I missed it
Arkham City was never $7.50 for consolesYou talking to someone who checks CAG daily, i know when the sales take place for both console and PC. I bought 5 Batman Arkham City's for 360 for 10 bucks a piece months ago when i was flipping them for credit at Gamestop. Recent PC games are rarely 75% off 1 month after release like some of yall would have us believe. The big Steam sales happen twice a year so depending on the game and the time frame in which they release you can see a good deal then. Thats the main benefit of the PC, you know exactly when all these games are going on sale so you can just wait until then to load up. On console you can get deep discounts but you have to a lot more work to take advantage of the sales. And like i said, if you were to just buy games on a whim you may end up paying more for the Steam version like you would be doing right now for Kingdoms of Amalur.
In your later post you mentioned Gamefly, now if you have been doing your homework you know Gamefly offers crazy deals for console games all the time too. A couple times a year they try to empty out stock of games that arent being rented as much so you get super low deals.

That aint even true. Steam constantly has sales.
Not the big sale that everyone hypes up and anticipates. Those happen twice a year.
