I read that hypnosis doesn't work in tha long run.2 words...well 1 really....
self-hypnosis
Some things to highlight from this from personal experience. I couldn't breathe, I could barely swallow, stomach always doing weird shhh .... this was 2 years ago. My doc measured my heart rate up and down like a crazy person. It's miserable. I went on meds and I was numb and hated it.. Went off them myself (not recommended per the label). I still deal with it a little sometimes...
Prev stated so good- SLEEP is soo important. No other substances but your meds. Sex drive does drop ----it will come back after the meds.
Best of luck friend.
nah self-hypnosis works and has been proven to work. It takes a while to kick in. You gotta combine that with working out, meditation, and healthy living. I also took ashwagandha and rhodiola for 3 months... they ashwagandha works wonders. Some people like to use something called SAMe.I read that hypnosis doesn't work in tha long run.
YOU control how you act. sit down, focus and breath. concentrate on positive things. live in tha moment, don't worry about tomorrow. live day by day. it may not stop tha crazies in your noggin, but you can live without taking a bunch of pharma-drugs. everything isn't all-or-nothing! you have a choice in your attitude and outlook on life! pull yourself up and keep going. its more rewarding to face your fears than to run from them DON'T GIVE UP

Good point, I think having a entire subforum just for mental health is a bit much though. I think a mental health subforum on here would flop IMO, a thread or social group would be better.
I post on a Autistic forum with mostly white people and there is no race related issues, I relate to the posters there a lot even though I'm black. I assume the experience would be the same with a black poster on a mostly white mental health forum.
