I played final fantasy 9 the other day. Put in an hour of grinding, got to a boss, died, and realized i wasnt playing ff13 where they start you back at the last door you went through. Old school FF, they start you back at your last save. Needless to say i dont think ill be playing ff9 any time soon.

Final Fantasy IV-X are the Golden Age of Final Fantasy. You really can't go wrong with any of them. Personally, I'd start with with IV or V if you were a new player. IV is probably the simplest for someone who doesn't play RPGs. V is best if you're more experienced playing RPGs. VI, VII and X are the best but save those for later. I wouldn't recommend playing VII unless you've gotten a good way through V.

this, VI-X is prolly the best stretch of any games ever...

its all episodic so no one should feel bad starting in the middle...IV was the first on i played so

I say play 4, 3/6 (ff6 is known as FF 3 in US sometimes) 7 8 9 10

DONT SLEEP on FF VIII nikkas throw shade on VIII but its still REALLY good, its one of the first times in gaming i can remember where the main protagonist is really just an insufferable a$$hole through majority of the game, which made for GREAT dialogue.

Hell yeah, to this day Seifer is still my favorite FF villian ever!

As a youngin when I was playing FF VIII I was like "Man, Squall you timid bytch ass nikka, cant wait for Seifer to son you again and again" and he delivered!

I fukked with it tho, once you figure out the 'draw'-system

you've gone soft breh, but yeah same shyt happened to me when i was trying to finish dragon quest 8 last week died fighting some random enemy and had to start at my last save point
